The week before the start of lent, i passed a young lad in the street in my neighborhood wearing a dress, make-up and long hair. The first 2 times i seen him was in the shopping centre, he had a look of determined anger on his face. The third time I seen him was up a side street. He looked directly at me and he had a very vulnerable, pleading look on his face. I felt sorry for him, in fact i couldn't get him out of my mind. I decided to pray a rosary for him everyday during lent as i felt very strongly that was what Mother Mary was asking of me. 2 weeks after Easter, i again seen the young man in my local supermarket. He looked purposeful, going about briskly doing his shopping. He wasnt dressed in woman's clothes but dressed as a young lad. Prayer is the only answer. We need to pray continually for our young ones. For sure, our prayers will be answered. Praise God.

When I was her age (9) I would not have had any idea what Gay or homosexual even was. It’s a sad situation that now, at 9, she does. She attends a Catholic school too. This ideology is being forced on children in schools, thanks to our government.

Yeah you are unfortunate too be in Longford, what's up with everyone receiving Communion on the hand, it's just a real disrespect for the most holy Eucharist it's just so awful to see, I am actually struggling going to mass in Longford now, it's very sad 😭 Our lady said communion is to be received on the thong, talk to your priest write to the bishop, people who receive communion on the hand, can only be described as liberal and luke warm Catholics, how do you explain that to God on judgement day???

Thank you and God bless you for saying what needs to be said. All people are called to repent, all are called to purity, chastity and temperance and the like. Part of the problem is that the norm of celibacy for all single people s not preached; I have not heard a homily on purity in I think decades. Chastity according to one's state in life is what they taught me; I have not heard about that in many years, not in several decades I think. I think if you preach on that, you will be the Lone Ranger; but since you are not from Texas, the home of the Lone Ranger, and since you do not wear a mask or leave a silver bullet behind as your calling card, you will have to make do with a Brown Scapular and leaving behind some blessed salt, having discharged your holy water bottle here and there. Excellent talk Father! I would respectfully supplement this with information from Constance Cumbey’s book on the global New Age movement. These groups are actually the original co-opters of the flag of many colors. For at least several decades here in the US, this quasi religious movement has hosted Rain Bow Camps where all things are “celebrated.” All things except our true Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, that is. It’s a growing , powerful and very concerning network of alliances.

I watched a documentary including interviews with highly qualified boffins of their fields and one explained that next to the Swatstika, the pride flag is second most recognised flag globally. It's the enemy's work without a shadow of a doubt. In USA Young innocent children are being indoctrinated, puberty blockers, irreversible surgery, which leaves them with life long health problems its almost seems as if it could be, a form of child abuse???.....and if you do not agree with all of it, the vitriol knows no boundaries, I have learned from documentaries with young men and woman who have gone on to detransition back to their birth gender, who are speaking out, and speaking the truth. I pray for all the very young people, who become influenced by it all. Human beings are so much more than just their sexuality/gender and making everything about only their sexuality/gender nullifies the other elements of them and that are them, the unique individual that they are, with gifts and graces talents that only they have. If they board the boat THEE ARK.......they will be loved treasured and cherished just as they are, how they are, for who the are. Homosexuality is not a sin(Inclinations resisted). We are all God's children, I so wish that anyone who feels they need to fight for the cause, could know God's Divine unconditional love. The young people who detranision stated, that they are also subjected to vitriol by the pride communities, those whom they were bonded with, reject them. What do you mean this model? The Catholic church is very firm and clear in its teachings on this matter. The Catechism of the Church #2357 states that Homosexuality is "grave depravity", "intrinsically ordered" and "in no circumstances can they be approved"

Wow! Father, with all due respect, you certainly have opened up a can of worms on several fronts in this video. The LGBTQ+ element in society is made of several groups as you alluded to. And since you asked for my take, allow me to propose an idea to you that perhaps you haven’t previously considered. Were I to address all of the points you raised, I could be writing for several days. Having said this, I would like to address one particular segment of the LGBTQ+ movement, and that segment is the gays and lesbians, the homosexuals. In particular, I would like to address the issue of same-sex monogamous relationships that are at present condemned by the Catholic Church. Contrary to what you might think Father, this issue isn’t as cut-and-dried as it may seem. The issue of gays and their rights to enjoy love in the way heterosexuals do has, once again, sprung to the forefront in June. I am not referring to one-night hookups which are forbidden by the Church in the same way they are for heterosexuals but rather, couples living in loving monogamous same-sex relationships that reflect the love God has for all His subjects. While I agree that gay marriage as defined presently by the Catholic Church is not possible, there remains a growing effort for the Church to recognize the love, partners in monogamous gay unions, have for each other. While this type of marriage sacramentally is not possible, allow me to explain what might be. There is a social/sexual revolution coming in the Church. In one aspect of this coming revolution, the Church wants to expound on Pope John Paul’s central idea in “Theology of the Body” and how it centers on the fact that God wants a deep intimate loving relationship with each one of us in the same way a committed monogamous heterosexual couple enjoys. It is not meant to reflect this in the physical sense but is mirrored in that way, to reflect the deep love God has for each of us, and the Church attempts to bring this to light, to celebrate the joy and exultation that comes from such a love. The Catholic Church’s stance on homosexuality has long been that it is not inherently sinful, as a person does not choose to be either homosexual or heterosexual. However, the Church has always taught that homosexual acts are “intrinsically disordered” and “contrary to natural law”. According to the Catholic theology on sexuality, all sexual acts must be open to procreation by nature and express the symbolism of male-female complementarity. The Catholic Church’s stance on homosexuality has been founded on the belief in a natural order created by God, as it has been based on the idea that sexual acts should be by the natural law of procreation and male-female complementarity. This theology has been used to form the Church’s view on the sacrament of Marriage and the notion that marriage is only permitted for a union between a man and a woman. “Male and female he created them.” (Gen. 1:27) Recent scientific developments, however, may influence how the Church addresses this issue in the future. Some feel God may be working in His Church to rectify a wrong that has survived for centuries. Could the coming changes in the Church and yes, changes are coming, possibly be the work of the Holy Spirit, as Jesus promised? Could Pope Francis be His messenger in all of this? Should the beliefs of the Church in the area of homosexuality and same-sex unions not evolve when presented with modern scientific evidence that proves otherwise or, should She remain with Her head in the sand in the interest of maintaining the status quo and “preserving the gospel” as some would claim? The Catechism says, the Church and Her theology, cannot be at odds with science (CCC 159). The Church teaches that faith and reason must always be in agreement or, one or both, are in error (CCC 36, 286). Medical biological experts have now stated they can find no studies to show that homosexuality is an abnormality in the human person. Experts now widely agree, in over 60 peer-reviewed studies (American Psychological Association (APA), World Health Organization (WHO), American Medical Association (AMA), World Medical Association (WMA), National Academy of Sciences (NAS), National Library of Medicine, and many other numerous research studies) that homosexuality is a natural variation of human sexuality rather than a conscious choice made by individuals or an unnatural disorder the homosexual was born with. Scientific studies NOW conclude that homosexuality will make up 3% of the population, no matter what, and that homosexuality IS part of the natural order. So, it seems our knowledge of this matter has changed. Should not our theology develop and evolve in light of these new findings? After all, aren’t homosexuals made in the image and likeness of God, as we all are? If we are not to dispute the scientific and medical consensus, the question then becomes, are homosexuals not allowed to carry out God’s plan of love and commitment in the best way possible, in loving monogamous same-sex unions? Are they not allowed to participate in true love and commitment that mirrors Christ’s love for us on the cross in the same way heterosexual couples who have impediments to marriage, are given dispensations by the Church, even though they cannot fulfil all marriage requirements? It is through no fault of their own, that gays are who they are. God made them as surely as he made you and me, and we all know, God doesn’t make junk. The Church, in all probability, will not call it “marriage” as this type of union cannot fulfill the two basic requirements for marriage - the unitive and the procreative. However, the Church might still approve such a marriage in the future and call it a “union”. All recent communication from the Holy See would indicate this. Correcting this injustice that has existed for two thousand years is comparable to the situation Galileo experienced in his day. The Church branded him a heretic and confined him to house arrest for the remainder of his life because he went against the Church's teaching that the Sun revolved around the Earth. Galileo's heliocentric views (the Earth revolves around the Sun) were considered contrary to the interpretation of Scripture that was prevalent at the time. The Catholic Church held the geocentric view based on a literal interpretation of certain biblical passages. Galileo was summoned to recant his views and was ultimately found guilty of heresy for refusing to do so. This was a situation for which, five hundred years later, Pope John Paul II apologized. In summary, the idea that homosexuality does not form part of the natural order seemingly has never been defined infallibly other than as taught by Bishops and Popes throughout history based on an error in scientific and biological understanding. In light of the discovery, that homosexuality now forms part of the natural order, the issue of blessing same-sex monogamous unions is being extensively examined by the Church.

The same "science" that promotes abortion as a human right? The same one that insists a boy can be a girl if he thinks he's one in his head? The same one that classifies the surgical removal of healthy body parts as a legitimate treatment for these poor people? If you think this modern "science" should correct Church teaching on this matter, then I'd seriously question which one you give more authority to, Catholicism or modern scientism. If it's the latter then that sounds like humanism to me.

That was quite a long response. I read through the whole thing. My first take is this.. your comments on what science has or has not found reminded me starkly of the crap we have all had to go through for the last 4 yrs from the covid nuts.. the whole "trust the science" mantra.. If this is what you are basing your thesis on, then no.. I do not trust the science and neither will most of the population. Secondly.. there can't be anything truly good regarding homosexual relationships because ultimately they cannot possibly result in the creation of life. Yes, I do know that some heterosexual couples who are married cannot have children, it is something that they find out after they are married, but that doesn't disqualify their relationship, because their intent was to have children, to bring life into the world. Where-as, homosexual relationships cannot result in new life being created. Ultimately, homosexual relationships are about self love, they are Masturbatory in nature, yes.. I said that and it is true.. those who are in a homosexual relationship masturbate each other, there is nothing loving about that, that is all about self satisfying false love. Pope Francis has caused much strife and evil to be created and promoted in his time in the papacy.. interestingly in the last two weeks, he has used the Italian term for f**got twice now.. the vatican tried to walk it back 2 weeks ago and then just two days ago.. he again used the term to say that there were too many f**gots in the seminary and that they needed to be kicked out and banned from being Priests. It is strange his sudden stance and change of heart.. there is hope yet that he will be change in the end and put a stop to the insanity. Hate the sin, love the sinner. That is at the essense of this.. if you are looking for approval and wanting the true Church to embrace you and homoseuxality and support your lifestyle as good.. you are not going to be happy with this long term. God will not be mocked. If someone has SSA.. they are called to live a good chaste life just the same as a heterosexual. I have a single vocation, i do not believe that I am called to be married, therefore, I do not date, I don't go out on dates, I don't have a girlfriend. I live a celibate lifestyle and I am very happy for it. The same should be done if someone has SSA.. live a good holy life for God, one can do that with SSA.. but one cannot do it while living in sin.. participating in sexual acts that are contrary to nature and yes, homosexual acts are contrary to nature. It cannot end in life.. it cannot create life... it is masturbation plain and simple.

The fact that homosexuality does exist in nature doesn't mean it should be blessed, supported or even worse, celebrated. There are other phenomena found in natural order that we don't celebrate. Violence, murder, suicide, cannibalism, etc. Moreover, the LGBT+ movement is not and never was interested in rights of homosexuals. It a neo-marxist ideology designed to break existing power structure in society, destroy it's fabric, moral values and finally humanity itself. It is essentially anti-human satanic force which is in contradiction of the church teaching in all main aspects.

It's not being examined by the church. You have a few vocal priests and bishops pushing for it, but it's not going to happen. Individuals can be blessed, the union can't, and this has been clarified a number of times now over the last few years. Hopefully, my comment gets to stay this time.

Thank you Father Brendan. It takes courage to have common sense and to speak of Bible truth and wisdom. If you are a Catholic you need to read the Catechism and Bible and follow their guidance. Do not follow what is fashionable and worldly. . That will lead you astray from God. Thanks again Father for helping us to stay on the narrow path to heaven, with God’s help and the sacraments of Holy Mother Church.

What a horrible analysis. God is love. God creates us. If these are true, what a paternalistic analysis. The word US throughout this is very telling. God loves ALL not US. God dwells in and breathes in and over chaos. Stop trying to create division. Your ideology is simply that. Pride is liberation and growth. Not weedkiller. Humility is lot shown at all by this man in his leather chair. IMHO
