This was a revelation, I was literally watching open mouthed, What a fantastic watercolour technique idea.
Terry, you are my favorite watercolor artist!
I loved this. I am desperately trying to paint rocks because I live on acerage that has them all around. I might be able to do this. Can't wait to get started!
Terry likes to use 140-lb. cold-pressed watercolor paper. Enjoy!
You could add a couple of happy trees in there and scrape off the highlight side also. Great technique Terry!
Wow! Great technique. Thanks for this
So simple - and so effective! It looks fine. Thanks from Germany.
I'm so glad I found this video. Thank you for making it!
Thanks so much 🤗🙌🙏
Amazing!, it looks so simple watching you doing it. Not so easy for me, but I'll try ....Thank you.

What a great technique. I wonder what kind of brush he uses.
God Rest his soul he was a wizard with the credit card rocks and mountains!
my god,..you're so great!!!
Thanks to share with us and open our experiment
It should work for gouache to some extent--gouache is opaque (and may not have the same staining properties) so the results may be different. Give it a try :)
Unglaublich raffiniert. Beeindruckend. Danke aus Deutschland von Ria
wow just wow
What colour would you do the stream please?Im really chuffed with this method thanks.
amazing!
hmmm, it might just work on oils; neat idea. Not for sure it would work, but I'd say give it a try :)
What kind of paper I can use so thta I can make use of card to have that mountain shades...I generally use A4 size drawing sheet
thanks!
Whoa!
You need to apply the thicker watercolour, like acrylic hope this helps.
Thank you for this great post! What kind of paper are you painting on?
Can I do the same method by using oil paint...?
What brand of Watercolor is used?
What are you painting on?
I am not getting the same results: I am using a "Strathmore 140# C.P." paper that has little in the way of texture. Also, does Terry pre-stretch his paper?

You need to buy Rough textured paper to get the card to skip over the unevenness as you work on it ? Not tried this my self yet?but have watched Shada Campbell doing this on u tube and can't wait to try it .carol
does just plain credit cards work
👍🙏🙏😍
:)
Woah how did u even
I just tried this idea of the credit card on a landscape I'm doing, but it doesn't even budge the paint. I'm guessing that it doesn't work on rough press, and wager you're using hot press here.
i think he uses 140-lb. cold pressed watercolor paper. it says it in the uploader comments
so that's the secret technique
牛逼 great
