Just ordered mine late Friday afternoon. Ari at FLM was a big, big help. You couldn’t as for a more patient and helpful person. My stuff is already shipped and I’m really looking forward to trying it. What finally convinced me was Jeff’s Mastering Photography podcast with Mark Morris from August 22. They both seemed to prefer the Colorado Tripod and ballhead but the FLM company and product seemed more experienced and a couple of features of the FLM seemed beneficial to me. Check it out.

Do you think the CP30 would hold a Z9 and a 400 2.8?

Thankfully they chose not to do the built-in spikes for the CP30 L4 II as those spikes look like a joke. The one thing I'm disappointed with and not sure I would have bought them had I researched this fully and known is the bottom leg diameter is only 18mm. To me, this is pretty small and I think I would have went with the CP34 L4 II which have a 22mm bottom leg diameter. But so far, I have not had any issues with the CP30 L4 II tripod and bought it for its maximum height and light weight.

Are the clasps water proof, is there an O ring?

How tall ? Pretty important !!!!!!

The CP30 L4 , CP34 L4 and CP38 L4 all have a max height of 68 inches. Definitely one of the selling points that should have been noted.
