I’m not stranger to the elements But the other day when I left work, I was admitted to the hospital for 36 hours because I was very close to a heat stroke I may have had one.. I learned my lesson It was intense ! I’ve never been through anything like that before On top of all that I got like 15 shots because they couldn’t find a vein because I was too dehydrated Heat exhaustion is extremely serious !!

I have a question for you. Why am I getting more susceptible to heat exhaustion lately? I’m 41 years old and the first time I got heat exhaustion was roughly 4 or 5 years ago, but after that time, I’ve noticed a certain propensity to get it again all other years after that time. I do take all precautions now to make sure it doesn’t get so severe as my first event was, but I still notice that my body tends to get sick easier and faster if I’m not careful.

liz h actually I drink plenty of water during the summer time, I drink at least 5 liters of water per day and sometimes up to 7 liters. It could be aging, all I know is that after the first time, if I’m not cautious, I get heat exhaustion easier now.

The risks increase with age. Also if it happened before it will be easier to happen again.

I never understood leaving a child in the car. I don't even leave my dog in the car. How can anyone be so pre-occupied as to do this?

The thing is if you need something in the front seat to remind you have a child in the car, then you shouldn;t be having kids.
