In January of 2017, Pretty Mike caused an uproar on social media for storming an event with masked ladies on a dog leash. In the video which was tagged cringeworthy by Nigerians, Pretty Mike could be seen guiding the ladies like he would a dog and at some point, the ladies could be seen on their fours like dogs. While many tagged his controversial entrance as an attempt to promote BDSM, others called him a misogynist attempting to portray women as objects. Reports equally had it that Pretty Mike auditioned the ladies for the event entrance and paid them 30 thousand Naira each. This made many Nigerians drag him even more on social media.

You know everyone involved with him is being manipulated by money. Who else would disgrace themselves in front of the whole world?
