themk23 I have recently discovered Pretty Lights compared to how much time he has been composing music. It was February of 2016. The first song by him I cam across was City of One. A person who was demonstrating how to create Bismuth crystals used it as the background music for his video and I instantly fell in love with it. I saw the name of the arist and the song in the comment section and then I searched for him. I just couldn't get enough. Every song I listened to was just amazing.

I just discovered this song in 2020. I am just simply smitten by it. Amazing to say the least.

I don't know why Pretty Lights, but your name, your song titles and most of all your music itself resonates with me so much. It comes alive in my mind and just seems so right. I feels like it's more of an experience or the presence of a good friend rather than music. Please keep it coming, it keeps me company.

I'm from Telluride, and I went to both your shows there when I was in high school. It was so magical, and that was the first experience I'd had with rave culture and EDM culture. I remember saying to my mom, "these people are my tribe". Thank you for bringing that magic to such a remote place.

I heard this song for the first time on a plane over to Ireland. I loved it of course and couldn't stop listening to it. Every time I hear it, I always think of Ireland and how beautiful it was. Only yesterday...

My very first PL song. Glad it was this one. I heard it on sirius in the car and ran home to look him up. So glad I did too.

This is still my most favorite Pretty Lights song ever because I can connect so well to it. I still remember the first time I heard it. I was on my way to the first time I would be away from my family for a long time, working at a Boy Scout summer camp. I was so worried about what would happen, but out of the blue, just as we were pulling up to the camp gate, this song played on the radio out of the blue. It made no sense to me because normally the radio station was classic rock, but it played Only Yesterday and neither of my parents changed the station despite not really liking electronic music. It felt like a sign to me that everything would be okay. This song became my song for the summer, listening to it every evening, and every time without fail it brought me to emotional tears. I still come back to it and can feel the same feeling of happiness and contentment that I felt at that camp. Thank you Derek Vincent Smith for this gift you have given all of us.
