Jason post buff is still far and away the most accessible Arts AOE farming saber in the game and can do surprisingly decent damage for a 1 star. He's nothing amazing but he works for what he is, especially when grailed.

@@blurb9319 That is because there aren't that many AOE Arts Sabers at all and all are either 5 star Limited servants or Limited/Story Locked 4 stars who are not that great in general themselves. Outside of Muramasa and Takeru, the rest have weak gains or in Shiki and Nero's case, a one hit NP which obviously won't refund. There just are not many options. There are only 6 AOE Arts Sabers in the entire game in JP right now and we in NA have five of them with only Takeru missing. If you can roll for Muramasa, that is probably the premium option until Takeru over a year from now shows up. Jason is probably fine as a budget option with some grails.

@@orga7777 That is a big part of his viability yeah but his np upgrade also helped in patching up his damage issues to the point where he can actually be a proper farmer in level 90 farming. With grails he can even be slotted into a team with Dioscuri (though admittedly the team is still really jank and a second Castoria is obviously better).

​@@blurb9319similar to Inshun and Orion. Ofc Orion is just WAY STRONGER and better but thanks to the mighty chain and extra attack append skill, Inshun can be one of the most useful NP spammer and crit dmg dealers in the game alongside Billy *"BEGONE!"* The Crit- i mean Kid

Funnily enough Jason was my only surviving unit in the Kriemhild boss fight. He killed her on with a mere 1K HP remaining.

It kinda makes sense that Charlie's Stack gimmick has higher buff stack rate than Super Bunyan's because of it initially harder to pull off because you need the enemy to hit him until the Rank Up buff while Super Bunyan is on a Passive and can be activated whenever she attacks or gets hit.

Buff Bunyan gang all the way. Even if they don't want to buff the amount she gets per stack for "balance" (like if they actually care about that), they can increase the max stack count and increase the amount of time she has the stacks for. That'd be a solid start to getting her to be good

I've waited so long for Charlie and I feel like he was designed for an unorthodox Castoria skadi hybrid comp so I'm hoping whenever we finally start seeing more end game content Charlie will see some niche play

Gonna be honest, even as someone who does genuinely run mixed support comps like Merlin and Tamamo/Castoria, regular Skadi just does not work well with the current existing supports. While Gate of Skye does provide a bit of defensive value and some extra crit damage it doesn't provide nearly as much value as something like Garden of Avalon or Around Caliburn. Keeping her on the field feels like more of a chore after her skills are depleted when compared to other supports for that very reason. I imagine that a Skadi Castoria setup will still let Charlie barrel over most basic nodes and even some CQs but it won't be his best team.

@@harrya9458 Summer Skadi’s mixed Buster/Quick charisma makes her decent for multi-core quick/buster teams. I typically run her w/ Oberon as the other support.

I'll be real. I went into the banner for Charlie. I wanted my bud from Extella Link, loved his story too much.

All your complaints about him actually do have an explanation and that's just die to the fact that he's a paladin. Paladins don't really put saving themselves over others and that's the general idea for his kit. He's an attacker with the option to defend himself but that would be breaking the paladin oath and leads to him suffering consequences for it. As for old man rex... Yeah unless you have a fetish for old men with a sister complex given how extella played out especially given they basically turned Europe's founder and dad into the bad guy I think people rolling for Charlie has more to do with the fact people enjoyed his actual character rather than whether he provides anything to take seriously for gameplay uses. At least that's what I've seen pop up as people's reasons for rolling for Charlie.

Considering I got np4 Charlie trying to get NP1 Kreimhild, maybe I should use him.

Invincibility from Charlie or from other characters that Invincibility skill like Mash's will trigger Charlie's Demerit so use the skill before you put any Invincibility on him.

Good luck for NP6 Moriarty! I got np6 Charlie and just here cause I like listening to analysis about one of my favorite characters.

Charlie is nice. Funny how I ended up with both him and Okita Alter Summer (although she's at NP2). Interesting to see how his stack mechanics work and how his kit will turn out in the future. This definitely screams out that Quick really needs a meta support more geared towards long fights.

I was saving up for Charlie and I got him on my first 10 pull, I love this dude so much

While aiming for Kriemhilds (I wanted at least np3) I ended up with 5 Charlies lmao. I already had np2 SmOkitan so that’s that. Also one thing I think you forgot to mention that sets Okita a bit ahead of Charlie at equal np levels is her preemptive defensive buff purge which is nice in challenge quests.

Welcome to the club haha. Ive actually been using him a good bit with kriem, and they work pretty well together, with charlie giving her 2 hits of invul, she can hit him with a target focus to get the noble king stacks up

Was going for np2 Kriemhild, used over 1200sq and got np1 Kriemhild and np5 Charlie, desire sensor kills in FGO!

I got 4 and 4 between Charlie and Kriemhild so I'm quite happy, and I even threw some grails at both of them

Got him before getting my Kriemhild so it's not the worst. Hopefully i can get him NP2 in the next GSSR (or i'll forsake it all and try for Okuni)

I pulled him the day he came out on my bday lol. Just threw him 1 multi for the fun of it.

So. For mats/qp cost investment, which is better to build, NP1 Okitan or NP2 Charlie? Charlie then because I've had two copies? I got them both trying to roll 4 stars lol.... (Sadly, no Kriem.) I'm mostly thinking of using them to farm so, yeah. I have Skadi, dunno if I'll get summer Skadi, it will highly depend on how Lady Avalon treats me.

I have NP1 of him after trying to get Krim.

Okitan is still available on jp until the 6th of june i believe.

The good news is I managed to luck into a copy of every new servant without too big a SQ hit. The bad news is I now need to grind out a billion different mats to level their skills properly

Got 3 copies of him while rolling for Krim (including a double 5* roll). How many Krim's I got? Zero, worst 500 SQ of my life lmao even got spooked by a Tamamo caster in the process. Even worst? LAst year I rolled for NP3 Sumer Chokita cuz she is my beloved. I'm feeling so defeated lmao but I'm glad he gets kinda usable going forwards

I have Okitan so I passed on rolling on him to save SQ for on the more important servants, namely Summer Skadi and Lady Avalon.

I have to admit, I was not expecting to get Charlie on my Kriem rolls And while I probably won’t spend any more quartz on the Kriem banner, I’ll probably put my Charlie to really good use

Ok so. Charlemagne 2 Luvia 2 Rama 1 Penth 1 Herk 1 Nightingale 1 (rainbow) Kriemhild 0 All of that from only 300 sq . And it still is a 300 sq wasted

I'm thoroughly conflicted because I actually like the way they experimented with his kit, but I'm not a huge fan of the Kingdom Hearts OC design with the keyblade laser show NP when the version that summons a church themed super robot with mortar shoulders was right there. I get that this design and personality set meshes better with his paladins but I still get a bit disappointed...
