As a Shiro Sagisu fan, is so,so,SO satisfying to see how the karekano OST didn't fade into the obscurity that surrounded the adaptation after the creative conflict between the anime director and the mangaka. The music became something even more complex and beautiful that can reach people more than two decades later... so wholesome.

There has never been proof that the mangaka had conflict with the anime adaptation of her work. It's mostly a myth. The real reason the anime ended was because it simply caught up to the manga and there was no chance to realistically continue it

I want this to be played at my funeral.

Actually is the last one directed by Hideaki Anno. But in a recent interview He said that he is completely open to other people to create new histories around EVA. He wants EVA to become like Gundam, a universe of histories usually directed by new talents.

@@galenpemberton4382 it's a "resurgence" of the series, in every possible instance of the word, in life. Hence the name for the "rebuild" saga. You can fall into hell and depression, life will beat you up, yet you can only continue if you want to live and build yourself back up. Hideaki Anno and Shinji Ikari are now done with eva, and their life is ok, we should be happy for them :)

@@lovemyself217 "Shin" means "True", "God" and "New". basically it's called "Shin Evangelion" because it's the new movie and the last one, so it's "True" and at the same time "New"

It's two separate tracks, but they form this kind of "suite", like with Kindred Spirits and Theme Q from the previous movie (3.0). And yes, the Shin Godzilla vibes are strong in this one, which I love

It was really heartbreaking but I couldnt help laughing at it. First thing he does when seeing asuka is vomitting all over the floor. Its moments and misunderstandings like this that cause all the emotional and social trauma for these characters and I absolutely love it

Prettiest Star plays as Kensuke walks with Shinji telling him that he needs to forgive himself for N3I, and that it wasn't his fault. Karma plays as Kensuke drives Shinji back to the village after he meets Ryoji Kaji (Misato and Kaji's son, not the adult one) and says how Misato is hurting as much as Shinji is.
