True. Consume phrases helps a lot to increase your skills in the english language. On the other hand you need to practice and you need to have the opportunity to communicate in such language as well. Major key for me at least. But i completely agree to learn a language not by its rules or gramma but phrase which are connected to context. Great explanation. You gained a new follower . The challenge for many Latin-language speakers (re the Present Perfect Tense) is that it does not exist in their language and this idea of past-into-the-present is represented by the Present Simple (in their language). So you often hear some learners say: "I live in this house for 10 years" While they should say instead: "I've lived in this house for 10 years"

I've been learning since 5 years ago on my own and everything you say is completely true, i work in tourism area on the galápagos islands and everyday i learn something new as you say, just feeling inmerged into the language
