Nice video, many newer pressure washers pumps do not have oil reservoirs. I needed some Non-detergent oil for my pump. My pump is small only 5.3 ounces needed. Non-detergent oil is not always easy to locate.

My pump says to use gear oil in it.. drained it and smelled like gear oil and was thick like it too.. figured thatd be what youd want to use because the pistons don’t need to seal like combustion motors do or air pumps do.. those have rings and stuff.. but the wobble motion just needs to have the thickness on it because theres no splash system or no pump to disperse the oil.. plus mines different i think because its got a ball bearing inside the motor part with 3 needle bearings stacked up on eachother.. maybe mine calls for gear oil to keep the bearings lubed.. ive had the typical ab or ar pumps that dont have anything besides the pistons in the motor.. those called for hydraulic oil..

quick question please, recently i bought a John Deere 3000 psi 2.8 gpm pressure washer with honda gx200 engine. I changed out the engine oil with Amsoil 10w-30 and the non synthetic non detergent sae30 pump oil. Because the pump does not have the fill window to see how much oil to put in, I made mistake by over filling it. I ran the pressure washer for like a few mins and pump oil was dripping out of the pump possibly from the seams, did I just totally ruined my pump or can I just drain some oil out and it's still good? Thanks

It wont hurt the pump but will the engine if overfill it.. but the pump shoukd at most blow an o ring or gasket.. shouldnt do anything but leak it out because its just static pressure inside the case of the pump. Its moving a plate around on a wobble to make pistons go up and down making the upper section valves do stuff and make pressure..

Lol. Yea..,, thats what the crankcase vent is for.. if you put too much oil in a motor than youll hydrolock it or bend everything inside it because the pressure has no place to go. You cant compress oil so on a compression stroke it will flubabber up everything inside and no worky no more.. now 2 strokes cant have too much oil because its just mixed with the gas and too much will just cause it not to fire but will lube up everything and make some nice smoke next start after the right mix is put in and carb orifice are cleared.. orifi ? Orifices? Yea google says orifices..
