Why don't he turn his ram delay on? Lol. It would keep the metal from slamming back down after the bend is complete. 😅 and yes. You're supposed to stop or pause the program befor sticking fingers in it. There is a safety pedal with a flap and safety switch that allows you to hit the pedal to activate it. Never trust a machine when it's in an active program.

Everyone commenting has obviously never operated a press brake. You arent getting through the day without sticking your hands in that brake

I set up, bend and do QC unless it’s a first article part than its inspected. Fun job just bent some 16 bend parabolas today.
