You obviously know nothing about not only war but how government works in general. A president doesn't stand on the front line with a gun. Just as no peace time president goes around working as a surgeon or doing some other "normal" job. Just like no CEO works as a grunt on the factory line but takes strategic decisions and acts as a PR figure for his company. Giving interviews is part of the frigging job. I have Ukrainian colleagues. Ukrainians adore their first couple. Many of them are separated from their loved ones. A "couple's interview" like this is NOT frivolous to them. In my language, there is a saying: "if you have no clue, better just shut up already". Maybe go with that in future instead of "I admit that I know nothing but I'll go right ahead and put some strong opinion out there." Just get a clue first.

God, the look on President Zelensky's face as his wife, Olena, described his children's milestones and how his children miss him and could use his support was heartbreaking. I could see the grief and that he was fighting back tears, it brought tears to my eyes. I have never seen President Zelensky laugh. That he forgot to tell his wife that he was running for President must have made things a bit difficult to explain but I was happy that the question made him laugh. I would love to see the war end and Ukraine's sovereign territory returned because I would like to see both President Zelensky and the First Lady smiling and laughing together before they begin rebuilding and neither will be an easy feat. I pray for that every day as I am sure they do. As to the content of the questions put to them by Piers Morgan I will admit that I don't like him nor do I like Kissinger (who's name is appropriate because he happily kisses strong men's asses as he bargains away lands that he has no right to even comment on let alone decide the fate of any Nation.) That Hungary and other countries still believe that the sanctions are not hurting Russia are deluded and still see Russia as an impregnable fortress which is not the truth. That this question was put to President Zelensky indicates to me that Piers Morgan, as usual, did not do his homework. Economists keep saying that the Ruble is holding its own against the dollar but that means nothing because it is not a tradable currency. According to Jeffrey Sonnenfeld and his team at Yale School of Management say the narrative that Russia is riding out the sanctions is patently false. Their own research suggests Russia’s economy is suffering much more severely than widely reported. That is taken directly from a video that I had saved to my Ukraine file. According to Professor Sonnenfeld the Ruble, I will repeat it again, is not a tradable currency and Putin is playing with the numbers to make Russia look unaffected but you can't hide the fact that their stock market or its equivalent is DOA and that the Russian people are looking at an inflation rate of at least 50%. I am so sick of hearing that the sanctions are not having any affect because it is not true and Piers Morgan failed as usual to make sure his questions are accurate. President Zelensky is correct in his assessment of Putin and his belief that the whole world is responsible for what is happening to Ukraine. It is beyond ridicules that the world watched Putin destroy Chechnya, killing 150,000 to 200,000 Chechens in the process, invade Georgia and while the West did step in they forced the Country of Georgia to accept 5% of it's territory to be under Russian control, and then annex parts of the sovereign country of Ukraine and still the world did nothing but apply mild sanctions against Russia and continued business as usual. WE CITIZENS OF THE FREE WORLD DID THIS, ALL OF US and It is on us to put Putin in his place as we did with Hitler, but we are fighting a proxy war and it is Ukrainian blood that is being spilled not ours. I pray for Ukraine to be victorious and I cry when I learn of more civilian deaths at Putin's hands and I pray for the return of thousands of people abducted from Ukraine and being detained for a reason that we will only learn later. I also grieve for the soldiers who are killed or maimed because of us. May God protect the Zelensky's and the people of Ukraine and the devil have fun torturing Putin when he finally leaves this earth. Now seeing that would make me laugh.

I’m an Australian, have worked in Ukraine and love both Ukranians and Russians, but this clown has been a attacking Russian speaking Ukranians with terrorise since 2014. Russia held back for 8 years and tried to get Ukraine to follow Minsk II but Zelenaky under Washington instructions continued to block it, and encourage the terrorism. It wasn’t until Feb 2022 three days *after* Zelenaky escalated the terrorism in Donetsk by a whole magnitude, that the Russian administration decided enough is enough. I have visited Ukraine four times the last 7 years and saw the whole thing gradually escalate. NATO is the only aggressor here, and this guy is a criminal.

The “Punching above your weight comment” in reference to his wife wasn’t quite appropriate. It translated as how did a scrubby little dude like you snatch the elegant beauty by your side ? All I have to say is, open your eyes . This dude not only has strength & valor uncommon of his generation but has titanium laden balls of diamond & tungsten carbide . Listen to the man speak . . . He sounds 10ft tall & bullet proof ! Women respond to that kind of thing especially in todays society where real men & true masculinity is targeted for extermination/eradication to the point of extinction. I agree this comment was totally disrespectful BS because he was a very good looking celebrity / actor / comedian until just 3 years ago. He was even voted the best looking man in Ukraine some years back in some fashion magazine (can't remember if that was Vogue Ukraine or some other mag). Also as president in a suit he was very good looking. To basically tell him he's too ugly for his wife now because the war has aged him 10 years... jeez, the poor guy hasn't slept in 6 months, of course he's going to have some extra wrinkles and bags under his eyes. But there's a couple of things wrong with your analysis as well: 1. they met over 20 years ago, he wasn't known for being the bravest guy on the planet back then (while she was already very pretty). Google what he looked like, he was more the thin but cute and funny type, not the muscular dude with a beard he is now. 2. He did a lot of jokes and skits that we'd call "gender bending" now - google "Zelenskyy in heels" if you don't believe it (yup, that's real). He did a lot of really crazy skits just for the lulz about 10-15 years back and apparently didn't give a flying fuck if that made him look gay or unmanly as long as it was funny. Eg. there's also a skit where he and his comedy troupe all run and dance naked through a supermarket (which is also a parody of another music video). There's tons of sketches where he plays female characters in his live evening comedy show, often wearing pink. And it's *funny*, he does it really well. Eg. there's a sketch from shortly after the invasion of Crimea where he plays Putin's girlfriend (wearing a pink tracksuit, gopnik girl style) and Putin comes home late and "girlfriend" is like: where have you been?, "Putin" answers that he stayed late in the office to discuss troop movements on Crimea with Shoigu and "girlfriend" answers that he should stop telling her BS and she knows he's cheating because she watches TV and "knows there are no Russian troops on Crimea" (because remember, they were only "little green men"). 3. Look at the characters he played in his tv series and his movies - which he also wrote like that for himself, he didn't just act according to some script given to him because he needed the money: the characters are mostly cuddly underdog types who don't come across as overly masculine, he plays with the full range of emotions including fear and crying. Unlike male Hollywood heroes who are mostly only ever allowed to feel anger or a need for revenge. His characters are more as if Adam Sandler and Hugh Grant had a love child. And usually solve problems with wit, not with brute force. Often, there's some element where he makes fun of himself being so short. He's only 5'5 / 165cm, even though since the start of the war somehow the info on his height has been changed to claim he's 5'7 / 170cm. He's not, he's barely as tall as Angela Merkel who is 165 and wears flat shoes, look for the video of Merkel having a shake attack next to Zelenskyy from a couple years back. Did you ever watch anything he starred in? Like, just look at the scenes in Servant of the people where he falls in love, that's not a "successful womanizer" character he plays there, it's a sweet shy guy. Same for the "8 first dates" trilogy - the characters are sweet, not macho types. 4. Look at him in real life. He doesn't give a damn if anyone sees him crying. I've never ever seen any politician (let alone a president at war!) cry so openly and so often and it's not just me, a lot of commentators have observed that. There's even an interview where the interviewer outright asks him if he isn't afraid that people might see him as weak and he answers that he has never cared what other people think about him. Now, that's actually *really ballsy* but not in the way people think of as "traditional masculinity". Because those "traditional masculine" types usually shit their pants when in a situation where anyone could think of them as sensitive, weak or, god beware, gay. If anything, Zelenskyy is as close as it gets to the type of "modern masculinity" feminists have been wishing for for years (Steven Universe anyone?). He's definitely *not* the embodiment of "traditional masculinity" you think he is. Because the embodiment of that is Mr. "I need to desperately prove how macho manly I am by going shirtless horseback riding and invading other countries or otherwise someone might think I'm gay". Who also, btw is very big on demonizing all the gays in his country because "that's what tough guys do". While Zelenskyy has just recently responded to a petition by Ukrainians for marriage equality by saying that while he can't implement that now (would require a change of the constitution which is not possible while under martial law), he's asked his team to look into drafting a law to give LGBTQ people some form of civil union. Before you scoff: this is actually important stuff during war time. 1. many people want to marry before going off to the front lines to fight; in all wars many more people get married. LGBTQ people just want the same. 2. there's legal implications, like visiting rights to wounded is typically limited to family only or being able to claim the body of your fallen loved one to bury them and widower's pensions.

The ukranians got what they asked for, by trusting this comedian who tragically danced to the tune of his foreign handlers and poked/provoked the Russian Bear 🐻🐻.

Putin warned them many times to stop shelling the Donbas region (which has been going on since 2014) and sign the Minsk agreement, so we can all live peacefully and then people wondered why Russia had enough and stepped in.
