He was speaking in Egypt, with the cooperation of the government of rhe Egyptian Arab Republic. He says the words Muslim and Islam dozens of times, but never said the word Arab. That should have been a big clue to where his foreign policy was going.

A fantastically highly idealistic speech! Obama's acceptance and understanding is credible to even the most prominant speech writters of the new age. Sad as I see it. Obama is too ignorant to see the hatred of Jews in Islam's most trusted sources. He sees Islam as a religion of peace and that is why he and most democrats fail, and Republicans. Some examples please look into these sources because I hope I'm wrong in my interpretation. Sahih muslim 1767, sahih muslim 2922, quran 9:29 I will post more when I find it. Islamic scholars claim: Islamic law is perfect, universal and eternal. The laws of the United States are temporary, limited and will pass away. It is the duty of every Muslim to obey the laws of Allah, the Sharia. US laws are man-made; while Sharia law is sacred and comes from the only legitimate god, Allah. 1) Al walaa wa al baraa - sacred love and sacred hate The Sharia teaches the dualistic ethical principle of “loving what Allah loves and hating what Allah hates” (page 18). This includes having an aversion to Kafir political systems, such as Constitutional law and loving Sharia law. This principle is behind the Islamic demands for implementation of Sharia in America. Even if the Kafir way is better, it is not to be imitated, since Allah hates all manifestations of Kafirs. 2) There is no democracy, since democracy means that a non-Muslim is equal to a Muslim. 3) Our Constitution is a man-made document of ignorance, jahiliyah, that must submit to Sharia.

This remains the strangest, most remarkable speech I've seen in the 30+ years I've been watching politics. Have watched it several times and can't decide if it's very naive or absolutely brilliant. Have come to the conclusion it is some of both.

This was Obama’s attempt to fix US reputation among the the Muslim world… A shame the CIA probably blackmailed him and had Secretary Clinton start crushing the Arab spring to prevent democracy in the Middle East.

In Egypt we have a wonderful proverb, says "if talk worth money ,no one would talk " and also don't put the poison on the honey ,we know everything
