Also, doing one day's work as a voluntary civic duty is a very good thing to do. Actually this happens in the whole country and in each zone, not specifically where the President visit. The President may choose a place to to join. Umuganda term comes from our ancestors, where Rwandans gathered together to support a neighbor or anyone to accomplish a certain goal. I think all Africans should look back what our elders used to do and just keep the positive things from them in our advantage. AFRICA TO THE WORLD ❣️

Wow! Wow! Just wow! This amazed me but at the same time bro Kobby I wept because you know why? I vividly remember when the Ex prez. John Mahama's gov't. introduced the national sanitation day here in Ghana every first Saturday of every months led by Mr. Julius Debrah, majority of Ghanaians wouldn't participated and the few that would involved themselves, we all have seen much improvement which curtailed unnecessary floodings in the country. But today another person is in government/power and abolished this initiative and what do we see today in Ghana... flooding almost everywhere whenever it rains especially in our cities. Respect for Rwanda #changeattitudeGhana

But they don't do it anymore!! I was very surprised to find out that, burundi and Congo have umuganda in their culture but how often do they gather as community to do umuganda it's another story.
