It wasn’t as big as you think. I was there because I was working the inauguration as a soldier. I also did President Obama’s second inauguration and it was by far a more packed event. There wasn’t an empty space in the entire national mall for Obama. I was able to walk in and out of crowds for Trumps due to the empty spaces.

i sincerely believe he'll be able to do what he's promised. generally speaking, a person who's very good at something in one area will usually be able to excel in unrelated fields. my theory is that there are certain people, who i described above, who are just naturally successful and achieve great things easily. trump, being an incredibly successful real estate developer and co-creator/star of a reality tv show that was enormously popular, is one of those people who are just naturally good at things. this election is a perfect example of that- he had zero political experience, ran his campaign in incredibly controversial and chaotic ways, and was running against one of the most famous and seasoned political figures in the country, hillary clinton, who had enormous help from cronies in the government and elite corporate lobbyists and the establishment as a whole. yet, he won with a very comfortable margin. the man is clearly good at anything he tries, and believe me, he's gonna do what he promised.

Chantaal L bring the wages down, lower tax incentives, brings on what they call a labor shortage, it forces companies to give workers better wages to get the best talent, it's labor supply and demand. We have the advantage because we are the largest importer in the world, In the 80s my grandpa was making 12.50 an hour, I'm making 12.50 an hour and here it is, 2017.. My dad is a factory worker , he makes 13.50 an hour... It's capitalism

Being a billionaire doesn't make you an elite. It only counts if you get rich off of being a career politician. Tillerson, for example, got to his position from sheer merit alone. He's rich because he's good at what he does, not because he sells legislation to the highest bidder. There is a HUGE difference between the two.

burnacle Well first of all I would argue that being in the very top percentage of wealth makes you an elite, not necessarily a corrupt elite, but an elite. As for Tillerson, the man worked for Exxon Mobil for years and was the CEO for around ten years. Sure heading a company can give experience to help head a department, but Exxon is also a corporation that's benefited from favorable government treatment. They receive R&D money despite being one of the most profitable corporations in the energy sector. Furthermore Exxon Mobil actually did contribute money to Trump's campaign (along with Clinton, Cruz, and Rubio), so something tells me they may have tried to buy a bit of favoritism from the next president. With their former CEO as Secretary of State it's quite possible that foreign oil deals become a bit easier for them, much in way weapons deals became easier for Saudi Arabia after they contributed to Clinton's foundation while she was Secretary of State.

+Just a Lurker Somehow, with Trump's "Buy American, Hire American" policy, I don't think Exxon Mobile is going to benefit from foreign oil. Maybe from American oil, but not foreign. And if they do benefit from American oil, then I don't give a shit, because it's still American oil, and American labour. This way the money we pay for oil based products STAYS in America, and doesn't redistribute our money to the rest of the world.

But either way, that wouldn't benefit any American oil corporations, in fact, in might hurt them by possibly driving the price of oil up. That oil would go to the government, not corporations.

This process has to play out naturally because otherwise it will just look like Trump took over the military and became a dictator. The military is only in control of the military. Meaning, they will protect against invasion etc but they can’t get involved in the politics because of optics. Donald Trump has control of the military.

We didn't vote in a Pastor-in-chief or a Messiah, but a man who has the backbone to say "NO" to the Oligarchs and the Military Industrial Complex who want more wars. We elected a man who has kept our borders in check, and has kept all Americans safer from terrorism than we ever were before. I had no idea at the time -- although when I saw all those military stand behind him when he talked about the transfer of power to we the people that should have been a clue -- that this would be the opening salvo of what was to come.
