It was reported that 1000 were there, but I'm with you; I only saw maybe 100. The cameras never pan to show the audience size. Biden doesn't take questions. This is the common staged event that Biden is known for. Perhaps the props are easy to transport and reuse. It was a very sad event, but it's about the best that Biden can do.

Another great contribution by Trump -crowd counting. We are so better off now. Crowds were pretty big leading up to the 2020 election loss, so I'm not so sure crowd size means anything. Besides, do we really admire politicians that much? I would guess that 99% of Trump attendees spent their prior years bitching at politicians and now they absolutely worship one. And he is the most stereotypically grotesque type of politician feeding you all the words that he knows that you want to hear, while at the end of the day cozying up amongst the ultra wealthy and laughing about it. I can guarantee you he walks in his door at home each night and says to his family "I still have them convinced that I give a hoot about them".

It will pick back up with the new projects to do more infrastructure work starts and when the manufacturing plants being built are finished and ready to start production. It probably saved Obama's campaign that year. Then go watch last week's debate and tell me how far gone he is. It just confirms all the suspicions Republicans have had about him and make it look like a cover-up.

And he should stay in. He has incumbency advantage and is riding quite a few achievements in office. I don't think MOST Americans care if someone is a perfect public speaker. Most Americans care about character, policy, and substance, not how confidently you can lie or break the law. This election will be the same as 2020 except trump is coming in with a lot more baggage; No endorsements from his former staff, many indictments, lost civil suits, an unproductive GOP House, felony convictions, state referendums on issues like abortion, the Supreme Court ruling, and Project 2025. Very few want to give the self avowed "Day 1 dictator" complete immunity to do whatever he wants.
