Stative verbs should not be used in continuous tenses like present continuous, past continuous, etc.. They can be used in the order cases I’m having dinner Here have means eat not belong But you can’t say I’m having a brother His understanding of the topic is incorrect Here we can use understanding but we can’t use it as I’m understanding it
