Prepping the Fields for Planting | Norwegian Farm Life
This month the farm decides to truly test us as farmers. Spring is upon us and the tasks are lined up. We need to prepare the fields and replant one of them as the moss has taken over. We test out an old drag I bought last year to separate the moss from the grass. We do this with out trusty old Fiat 480-8 DT tractor.
Fencing is a big task this month as we race to complete the permanent fence run around my neighbor’s house.
We have some new life on our farm as we by a priced big ram and our chicken’s hatch. One of those end I am giant disaster.
Several people have asked us for a patron and the opportunity to support our channel. Now we finally have out own page. If you want to support the channel head over to: / norwegianfarmlife

always remember the first few years are the hardest for EVERY farmer no matter the type of farming you do
Lots of hard work!! The drive/stone pavement cleaned up very nicely!! Fencing seems a never ending task on the farm 😬👍🏻
Do not give up. I am truly impressed with all the things you’ve already managed to accomplish! 🎉🧡 And remember, get friends and get to know other farmers. Farmers often help each other and share good advice 🚜🐑

Thanks for the advice.🤠👍 I am actually working with several part time farmers so I get loads of advice although it can be a bit confusing when they don’t agree. 😂

@@Norwegianfarmlife we absolutly know that feeling ;)
Keep up the great work you are doing. Your hay field can only benefit from your hard work. I hope you get better soon and good health and happiness to your family. Thank you for sharing.
Did something similiar on 0.3 hectar that needed to "restart" for be able to take hay and have the sheep (Gutefår) to feed. I turned the soil and cultivated the soil but I am currently waiting for rain so the seeds will have a chance. With Regards, Erik från westcoast Sweden.

It is not that often that lack of rain is a problem in this region but it is really dry here as well. Good luck with your fields and your sheep. 🤠👍
Looking great. 👍🇩🇰🐓🐓🐣😁

Thanks, I really hope that this improves this year’s harvest. I am planning to kick things in to high gear when it comes to the big fields. I have made a purchase that I am looking forward to trying our bit it will be more on that in a later video.🤠👍
👍👍👍
Flott eiendom !
Terribly sorry to hear about your ram. This, coupled with the loss of the little lamb last winter--your family deserves some hopefulness for all your determination and grit. I hope things turn around for you. Thank you for teaching me many things I did not know before, like about shells having lime beneficial for grass, and that drags exist!! It seems like the caretaking you did in the field will have longterm benefits. How do you keep these ever rotating projects straight? Do you track them with lists or spreadsheets? Or does it just take up mental space all the time? Thanks, as always, for making such wholesome, honest content.

Thanks for your feedback.😊 I wish I could tell you that I had a clear plan but I don’t. I have an idea about where we what to go and what is needed to get there. The jobs I chose on criteria like what is most urgent and what I feal like doing. 😁

We miss Theo...where is your dog?

@Norwegianfarmlife

Vi kjøpte den fra Steinsenteret Åsane. Der komposterer de tydeligvis sine steinrester. 😂

Takk for tipset👍
