Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this episode of DIY Guitar Making, I fashion a bundle of guitar neck blanks from billets of Honduran Mahogany using the jointer, table saw and planar to make them perfectly flat, square and consistent.

Did I miss your mentioning to note the grain direction (for quarter sawn blanks) when you begin to saw the billet into neck blanks? Anyway, good clear instruction knowing that you have begun with relatively stable, seasoned and fairly square stock. nice job.

Another good video Eric. Do you ever laminate the necks or do you feel its not required/desirable due to the timber you are using?

Lower the table saw blade to not more than 1/4 in. above the material to be cut. Save your digits! Save your lungs; use proper dust collection.

Thanks for the video! I found a beautiful piece of ziricote I wanted to use for a neck. I want to make an angled headstock and trying to figure out if I can use this wood for that or not. It's only .95 inch thick. Is that way too thin?

When you planed that piece by itself instead of all of them in a batch, my ocd hurt 😂 Nice video though!
