Psychotic would mean the experience of delusions or hallucinations. I don't believe that GRRM is psychotic, but I do believe that people use big words to sound smarter.

I found Big Walder leading the Freys in the Asha fragment really interesting. A Frey host led by Hosteen is unlikely to switch allegiance to Stannis (especially if Stannis has the Manderlys) You point out in "A Frey in the Snow" Big Walder is likely clever and wants to be lord of the twins. Couldn't Big Walder possibly win the lord of the crossing if he aligned with Stannis (maybe after many of his men fall into the ice) and helping Arthur Karstark sneak Stannis men into Winterfell? Then Walder could hope to eventually usurp the Twins with Stannis support

I know, it's scary. I've long thought that anyone with half a brain and great tolerance for stupidity could be a pop music lyricist or at least a country music lyricist. Robb Stark was not killed in a battle. And Selmy won all his battles too - on the battlefield I mean. I'm just saying, he has the Stormcrows and there are also the Unsullied elsewhere and the freedmen companies. I am not sure if they could save him but surely Skahaz could not keep them out with his Brazen Beasts? Especially if the Free Brothers are still holding the Northern Gate (I assume they don't really participate on the battlefield?).

Talking about parallels: in the Battle of Fire we have dragons on the loose, and they're obviously going to play some role. Do you think the Others are going to crash the Battle of Ice, or its immediate aftermath? It would figure.

Hey Preston for what it's worth you've really changed my life. I'm writing a series and I'd lost hope that anyone cared about the lore and histories I wrote and that I'd wasted years working on this....Ugh, I don't want to rant... Just thank you.

Hey Preston, First off great research. Ever since I heard your analysis about the resurrection of Catlyn Stark and the idea of her body being controlled by some other Telekinetic person and not her come back to life. I began to wonder if Crows Food was being controlled in a similar manner since the time he got his new name. My go to would be to guess Bloodraven controlling him being that there there they are both 1 eyed followers of the old gods, and it was a crow that ate his eye perhaps the 3 eyed raven. And Bloodraven might be more interested in having influence in the north. However his actions appear to be more in line with a Crow's Eye influence, his raunchy behavior, his alliance with Stanis, and his other actions that appear to weaken and jeopardize the future of the north overall such as risking the green boys. Anyway this is all out of left field and probably an over study but I would find it interesting if Crow's eye or Bloodraven Factions were working with placed undead agents to weaken their enemy's positions. Great quality videos keep them coming.

A head of bloodraven and of bittersteel is cool since the two were rivals

I think it's great that Theon mentioned his own head on a spear. If Theon isn't really beheaded by Stannis, maybe Umber wasn't really beheaded then either?

Another parallel between the battle of ice and fire: Both will sacrifice a prince/princess. Quentyn burns alive by dragon fire. Shireen is burnt alive by Melissandre.

I never knew the Freytowers are blue in the sigil. Does that colour have a special meaning? It seems rather unusual or are there some blue rocks, people built castles with?

It is interesting that only Smalljon has been mentioned. You would think they would be involved in some way...and if the Bolton's and CO. had a hold of them we would likely know. That would be a big piece to have against Stannis. Crowfood wouldn't have fought for Stannis if his relatives who would inherit were held. But where are they? It is weird that we have heard nothing. I mean their forces have been used up and even more were taken by the Greatjon's Uncles...so maybe they are not at Last Hearth.

I'm sure GRRM knew for absolute certain that his computer screen was visible and people were going to figure it out, which leads me to believe he was either having a little fun with us and it's all bullshit or he's also having a little fun with us and throwing us a bone. I for one believe it's bullshit. Don't you think with as secretive as he usually is the chance of this being absolutely legit are quite low? He is definitely a little more low-key then not and we know this for a fact.

what if Big Balder takes the power in the Frey army and then join Stanis along with the Manderlyes. Then they spead false rumors about kiling Stanis and somehow atack Winterfell together , using the Suprise. Then Stanis gives him the Twins for the good service . Thats how Big Walder becomes owner of the Twins .

I find it hard to believe that Asha can mistake a nine year old child for a Warrior leading an attack, and he's small for his age and a seasoned fighter like Asha is would be able to tell the difference, so it must be Hosteen.
