Do you have central vacuums in the UK? Like where the receptacle canister is in the garage or basement you you just plug the vacuum hose into the ports in the walls and everything is sucked into the main canister? If that's an option, I highly recommend. My husband and I opted to give that to each other for our anniversary one year, and it's been worth every penny to not have to lug around a vacuum and to only have to empty the canister once or twice a year.

The charm of evergreen (fir, spruce, etc.) trees is heavily dependent on the type of tree and its age. My house is built on the site of an old Christmas tree farm and there are a variety of fir trees but all are at least 40+ years old. Every time the wind blows, branches fall off. Trees break in half and don't try to even imagine the carnage when we get a load of wet snow or ice. Sometimes they just need to go. My grandmother was a great quilter. She made a quilt for each of her grandchildren when they were born. My kids are in their 40s now and Grandma is long gone: they all still have their quilts and they help keep Grandma close when the wind blows and the snow falls.

Yes, I agree ... most trees have a "useful life" and outgrow the landscaping if there wasn't a lot of thought given when they were planted. Also, the trees may have shaded the lawn/garden too much so their grass wouldn't grow or it was too dark in their house.

Trees cool cities, provide much needed habitat for wildlife (especially evergreens for roosting birds in winter), help prevent flooding, clean our air, and improve our mental health. They shouldn't be cut down without very very good reason

Does Chloe know what she’s having? I am a seasoned veteran auntie, as I have 6 nieces and nephews ( with a 7th on the way) and am non-biological auntie/unofficial godmother to friends’/colleagues’ children. I love buying baby stuff, as I choose an animal or two as a theme ( fox, panda, duck/goose/giraffe, dog/lamb/sheep/llama/alpaca). I like to get gender neutral items, clothes in sizes that are over 6 months as everyone seems to get 0-6 month outfits, bath stuff, muslins, toys and of course books!

I looked it up- 0 degrees Celsius is 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Thats BALMY here in NH (USA)- Try single degrees (F) every morning in January.

Coming from a Canadian❄️ who moved to London, the cold is so much worse here! Since the UK is an island the air is insanely damp so 0C feels more like -10C 🤯

You may want to consider having your vents and ducts cleaned since you had to tear down that toxic wallpaper.❤
