I can't tell you how many people tell me that they will hunt deer for food, they have no land, and have never butchered out a deer Or forage for wild edibles (which they have never done or eaten). But a friend of theirs has. Oh goody!! During the great depression the deer disappeared in this part of the country and were reintroduced in the mid 70's. Too many people have no idea of how long it takes to raise a garden, or fruit trees or even berry bushes. God help them. I am not selfish I am tired of people attempting to manipulate or use me because they are to dam lazy to take care of themselves.

You are absolutely correct. I live in a region with an abundance of deer but am well aware that in a matter of weeks the deer population will be thin. Also there's the fact that if you are hunting you are not guarding or otherwise available.

I doubt most of them are in good enough physical shape to get that deep into the wilderness. The first 90 days alone will thin out the weakest and unprepared. We will be facing will be much more dangerous.

My homesite is nearly a thousand feet off the road. I don't need anyone to see my yard, or anything else I have. I even socialize with the community down by the road. In our community, we know everyone, as the families have been here for 5 to 8 generations. We don't have any problems with stealing or hard drug use. We don't socialize constantly, but we all know that all of us will stand up for anyone here. People may attempt to come here and create havoc, but I can assure you that they will regret that little thought.

You're number one threat when the shit hits the fan is going to be your neighbors. And I'm talking about not the evil bad guy criminal drug dealer neighbors I'm talking about you everyday normal good guy Family Man going to work neighbors. Because when they're out of power for 9 full meals AKA about 72 hours, that's about how long before people start to really freaked out and snap and no food that's when they start to panic and the father will have to do whatever he needs to do for his family and kids. So if they see you got electricity and they've been three or four days without electricity and it's extremely hot or extremely cold also if they're out of food and they smell food being cooked from your house where do you think they're going? That's why I highly recommend solar panels with a bunch of solar generators so you got backups and darken out your windows to where you can see out but people can't see him and then before the shit hits the fan do a test of walking around your house late at night with all of your lights on and see what is coming out and how you can prevent any light from coming out, because when you're running electricity from solar panels or whatever and your neighbors don't have power and no food well they are coming to your house and you can't feed the whole world therefore you can't feed your neighborhood and save your home. It's tough choices coming and some of them you're not going to like. But if you and your family want to survive then you know what you're going to have to do when this shit hits the fan and you don't want to end up losing your soul for doing something pretty messed up. I'm not saying you can't protect yourself, remember the Ten Commandments says Thou shalt not murder it doesn't say thou shalt not use 2nd offense to defend your family and yourself. There's a difference between self-defense and murder and you know exactly what I mean by that. Just because the world is going to shit in a handbasket doesn't mean you need to lose your humanity. Gas and diesel generators are too loud and your neighbors will hear that, also be careful of fires that you're using for anything especially cooking because they'll see the smoke smell the food cooking and they're going to come and knock it. Just trying to give you some heads up and wake you up to the real reality of what you will be facing. Before the government are FEMA or China or Russia or anybody is coming door to door to your house it's going to be your neighbor's that is your biggest threat. And if you're in a city by a pair of brand new Walking running shoes and start walking right now and get the hell out of Dodge

⁠the thing is that Constitutional carry has one major flaw that has millions of people committing a Federal felony every day. Federal school safety zone law applies to public property (roads) within 1,000 feet of a school. If you drive by a school with a loaded gun you are in violation unless you have a permit issued by the state where zone is located. A reciprocal permit from another state doesn’t count either. Everyone drives by a school often. Everyone is at risk unless they have a local state issued permit. Check it out and cover your self.

Having spent time in Latin America, it is typical in most countries that houses all look like crap from the outside. You are not invited inside unless you are a close friend. For anyone who's always been a city-dweller but is now considering moving to the country I have a unique but important piece of information; Most of us country-folk are good hearted people, but be aware that sometimes a skunk will present themselves as a rabbit.

Everything we have is back off the road and we’ve left woods and overgrowth between us and our neighbors. All the livestock is back towards the back of the property with heavy woods between us and the neighbors on the backside. We know our neighbors across the creek from us and get along very well. The neighbors on the other side of us are meth heads. We kind of keep hoping that they will quit making payments on their 5 acres so we can buy it. We have first option at it. On the other side of them is a church. All the other people on our road are standoffish and don’t want to be friendly. We have a couple of livestock guardian dogs and a couple of Rottweilers that patrol and guard.

Gangs, nazi, Islamist and more will form big groups, plus foreign troops can be a possibility. Also nuclear war. Only few will survive, rural areas is the best way to stay out of trouble

Speaking of thefts etc something "off" happened last night about an hour after dark. A vehicle that looked like a car pulled into my driveway while I was standing outside by the door. They obviously saw me and quickly backed out and left. It could have been just lost, looking for a makeout spot but could have been looking for a place to vandalize or steal from or both.

Also solar panels power generators and my last and final thing that I had to get finally came in about a month and a half ago and it was two electric bikes that go 50 miles per hour with dual battery so I can go around $150 Mi round trip and they are perfectly quiet solid black matte color so I can hide in the darkness and therefore you can't hear me you can't see me and I have a switch to turn off all lights, no headlight no turn signals no emergencies and no brake light all with the flick of a switch so I can go completely stealth so my collection is complete. I thought of everything I've watched thousands of prepper videos I practice what I preached and therefore I'm ready for what's coming and to be quite honest I wish you would hurry up and get it on already because this shit is so corrupt and sick and evil and devious in our own country that it just needs to go ahead and collapse for all I care but we sure as hell don't want China coming, if I had my choice I'd rather be the Russians, definitely not the chinese.

I’m a rural Oklahoma Deputy, at least until the big thing happens. People ask me what parts of the county we have trouble with and I tell them.

Ive done quite a bit of sneeking around and avoiding the cops as a teenager with "friends" and ill tell you ehat, we absolutly did not shy away from crawling prone through high grass to say the least. We've traveled right through actual bogs paralell to the roads to get places while remaining unseen. We've spent the majority of nights sitting silently in sheds waiting to try to be sure things cooled down. Do not underestimate people. We were teenagers when we did all that sh*t and we weren't even actually doing anything all that bad. Just typical troubled teenager shenanigans. If your worried about actual robbers and killers, i woukd highly recommend keeping your eyes on areas with concealment.

It took me 3 years of huge bucks walking in front of me before I could even compose myself enough to take aim on him before I ever even dropped my first deer. And even THAT morning, my heart was beating so hard that I was losing my vision and thought I was having a heart attack. I’ve never been to Romania. Are noodles a specialty there? Now Romaine lettuce is the best. It goes well with Ramen Noodles.

There's also the inconvenient fact that many of those targets will be shooting back. I used to know a marine who had a saying for the young guys who seemed a little too gung-ho. "Remember if the enemy is in range, so are you." I tell people whose "SHTF" strategy is about getting into lots of gun fights that they needn't bother laying in more than a few weeks of food. They'll be feeding the carrion themselves soon enough.

Certain areas of the city or country in general I do not go. Cops are not fast enough to respond to emergency calls. Try Second Amendment instead. Protect your life and what belongs to you.

I wouldn't worry about criminals, but the armed gangs that will form, and raid one area then another are going to be hard to fight unless you have a equal or superior force !

Hello Travis. I was thinking about larger scale farming after a collapse. There may not be fuel for farming so I was trying to find the components for a harness for a horse pulled plow. But I couldn't find anything. Any ideas on what do do in this aspect of farming after a collapse.

Stock up on hand tools. May not be able to till a garden but raking and digging holes for planting worked way back when. I've stocked up on the quality tools I think I'll need.

Need a plow and harness, one or two mules or oxen and 2 expensive grub hoes for each family member. 2 D point long handle shovels per family 2 square face long handle shovels per family At least one billdukey per family Axes, bowsaws/bucksaws, a dozen files with handles, 3 old fashioned large whetstones and the knowledge to properly sharpen your knives and tools FREEHAND without any electrical anything Lots of seed appropriate for your zone. LOTS, as in pounds. Preferably heirloom. Need to be getting in shape to be able to put in a day of hoeing weeds in your field.

@@bobc9744 Don't forget about the 2 is one and 1 is none thing. I keep several decent D point shovels for my own use along with other things. Know how to use em without breaking em ( or yourself)

@autumnfragrance6326 well if u read the story about the 10 wives and their oil lamps u see that sometimes a lack of preparation is in fact a reason to deny.... the 5 wives that wasted time and didn't fill the oil for their lamps missed out in joining messiah. If u know better but waste time and don't prepare doesn't mean someone else is damned for not helping

I live in a very small rural area, a very tight neighborhood, we do have local FB groups, and yep, we post on there, we warn each other. We have the relationship with our neighbors like how you do. Its a good thing.

Good Lord Travis!! Why are you helping criminals prepare? Hard up for views and subs? ha ha haha - couldn't help it - kind of a classic dad joke opportunity.... of course we all need to prep to deal with criminals... and the best way IMHO is to understand that they will not hesitate to hurt or kill you or your loved ones, community to get what they want. So you need to be ready to face them with the same lack of hesitation to deal with them. That mental preparation is more important that having the the absolute coolest, best accessorized weapons. For sure. And of course - coordination and training and planning with your friends. This is a force multiplier.

We need new content from KZreadrs. This past few months I'm seeing a lot of KZreadrs saying the same things just useing different rearranged word's. And the majority of them no longer teach prepping. They just say do this buy this but not actually how to do it. Im good to go only because I've been prepping for over 30 years. I'm speaking for those who are new to this and not getting any direction on how to do things. What has happened to all these prepper channels...

There maybe a few bright spots, but the reality is, when the power goes down ( and it will be for a LONG time ) the amount of death will be overwhelming. No power no food, no medicine. 10,000 100,000 100,000,000 And the next day it starts all over again.
