Every year we build up the soil in the beds and add, compost and fertilizer, preparing for the spring. I just learned that the neighbors chickens have been crossing the fence and digging in our strawberry plants and asparagus. That will be another problem to take care of, but finally the beds are ready for planting And we will be out looking for new plants to fill the bed up with spring is an exciting time that we enjoy here on the Homestead.
