My little brother Jose avalos had 2 or 3 heart surgerys and I'm juan Gonzalez and thank you for saveing my little brother he was 2 years old when that happened

Lot of updates since we were there. Son went there at 2 days old 12-31-86 & had Right Blalock/Tussig shunt surgery that year & Fontan/Glenn at 5 years. He's doing amazingly well. Cudos to Dr. Willis Williams & Dr. Raviell.

I am 21 weeks pregnant and found out my child will need all 3 of those surgeries by the time she's 4. Can you please tell me what im in for? Do kids do well in recovery?

my 1st granddaughter [3mos] is going wednesday for heart surgery and I am a wreck. she is a block of sugar to me already. I am suppose to be the strong one in this, I am not. I do not want pity,just strength please. will be another hard day on the ball. our lives here.

I am praying for all of you. As a nurse who takes care of these children, please know we love your daughter and care for your needs during this time. Ask questions when you have them, and use your voice. That is what helps us the most as caregivers on the same team. Our love for your daughter and your/our teamwork. Best wishes. There will be a time when you look back at this and say....wow....remember that?....remember when? Know we care.

My granddaughter was diagnosed with dialated cardiomyapathy possible cause include Hereditary /,genetic Exposure to toxins Virus They say no matter the cause the treatment is the same I have to wonder there have been so many things done to me and I'm around her daily smh
