Microsoft learn has sufficient information on Power BI. So I used past exam questions to study. I also used Pragmatic Works because they offer explanations to the responses they give, which helps a lot.

@@user-ux5sp1uc7o I found it friendly because I had gone over numerous sample questions. Also, the Pragmatic Works approach is helpful because it doesn’t just answer the questions, but also gives explanations until concepts which is very important. Thanks.

I passed the exam but i must say it is a difficult one, enter with a clear mind and good sleep, and fix the resolution issue before the exam as a lot will go through the screen, it is not like the practice exams in the official page, it is actually much more complicated. Nevertheless if you prepared well just be patient, they are testing your patience, and ability to keep calm against the clock while lots of things going on the screen. Solve them one by one.

Great video! I have my PL-300 and one thing that eluded me from the descriptions in preparation. IMO…the test does not have you, at all, actually demonstrate skills in PBI Desktop or PBI Service. You don’t ETL, model, write DAX, set roles, publish, manage workspaces, permissions or gateways, no scheduling, no apps. Honestly it’s probably good though. You have to know PBI so well that you could do it with someone whispering scenarios to you whilst you draw what the buttons look like in the program with you your non-dominant foot lol Useful certificate, but heavy theory, no practical. it would be a joke if i wasnt so happy that i have mine 😂

Your videos are great.I passed PL-300 but it requires real understanding of many concepts so I had to also refer to Microsoft Website as well as many other KZread videos from PowerBI Experts.

15:39 I thought this test wasn't open book, I was told that there could be accommodations but not open book. Is this option only available after completing the exam?

Yes, fees apply for each retake attempt.

Power bi service scares me as there are so many topics that make tricky questions like incremental refresh, static dynamic Rls etc.

Honestly I can’t wait to see some examples on what to expect and more importantly how to solve the kind of questions we will see.
