I'm a fellow garden centre addict that I think lives in the same neighbourhood judging by the usual garden centre you vlog in? If you don't mind a bit of a drive try Doves Barn Nursery in Felbridge. Haven't priced up the large trees there but it's deffo a lot cheaper for houseplants and shrubs than our local. It's not remotely fancy but good for a bargain. And if you make it over there visit Haskins in Snowhill too - it's just up the road. That one IS fancy but worth a trip for the cafe alone. Hope you find your perfect tree - My vote is for an Acer or Eucalyptus. You can always prune it back like mad annually to keep it compact.

When we went to visit the village my husband lived in for a while as a child, we wanted to find the grave of the lovely woman who owned the lolly shop back in his childhood. The cemetery was huge. I dove flew by and landed in the distance. I said to hub ‘her grave is right there”. We walked over to the spot the bird had landed,and lo and behold, it was indeed her grave.

Hey, the pretty blue plant you bought that was covered in bees is called a Cianthus or Californian Lilac.If you are putting in a container it will soon outgrow it as they grow into a substantial large bush.

I have a bird box with a WiFi camera in and I currently have 4 Blue tit chicks. I named mom and dad, Barry and Mindy. I was able to watch from the very beginning of them visiting the bird box to having a little family. This is my 3rd year of having the camera and I love it!

I agree about the Acer, have one in my garden, beautiful trees. Wondering if the dove is a youngster, they're all over the place right now, tend to have no fear and land on windowsills until they become stronger fliers. Bluetit Tammy is my suggestion, great name for a bird and ironically a stripper

I was preparing myself when you were trying to light your bbq for an amazing quote by Tom Hankes when he's stranded on the island and makes fire for the first time and screams to the heavens, "I have created fire"!!! Lord I hope you've seen this movie, would've been hysterical to see you do that....but it's ok, it never happened and instead did a great vlog as per usual ;)

Eucalyptus grow massive I had one growing up and I can remember it getting cut down by 10ft and the following year it had all grown back😮

Eucaluptus makes a house smell good. It also is good for having in a hot shower to breath in. Having one of those trees, you would be able to always have trimmings from it for inside the house. Buying dried eucaluptus decor is not cheap.

Do y’all have lighter fluid for the charcoal? That’s the way we’ve always started it. We stack the charcoal in a pyramid then squirt lighter fluid all over it and light it. It’s lighter fluid made specifically for the grilling.

Joe, eucalyptus plants grow hood but you can keep them trimmed and use the trimmings inside in nice vases around the house ❤

Joe, the fact that the tree is in a pot will restrict its growth. Planted in the ground it would grow huge, potted - not so much.

Joe why don’t you invest in a gas bbq? We were in Oz last year for 3 weeks and couldn’t get over how many gas bbqs everywhere and how much easier it makes bbq experience so have since invested in one (though hardly been used living here in rainy Ireland!) but highly recommended x
