@@stevebutler7156 As a kid at 12 years old I was into fishing, and read articles in the 'fishing papers' about (Coarse) fishing in Norway. I wrote an essay as instructed about 'The country I'd most like to visit' As it happened our Headmaster saw and read my story.....He said something like 'When you get there, you'll find there is lots more to Norway than the fishing' 🙂 He was in the Tank Regiment in WWII and ran a very tough school .....He had the most beautiful Italic handwriting I have ever seen. 🙂

Surprised you chose the Harwich ferry and didn't save yourself a mint going down to Kent for Folkestone tunnel /Dover ferries. The ride from Calais is not far to Hook of Holland. Much much cheaper and quicker when you factor in the long overnight ferry. Dover is a 2.5 hour ride from Harwich 😮 I think you can ride to Holland in about 2 hours from Calais. The gap between Hawich and Holland is very wide compared to 21 mile distance of channel tunnel. The Honda CB500X will be a perfect mount for the task in hand. Edit - BMW 😮 What was I thinking.

Welcome back, Was wondering what had happened to you. Well done on shifting some weight. It's gotta to be good for being comfortable on and riding your bike. You might try intermittent fasting which many people now do eg RichyVida. You eat say in a 6 hour window but fast the other 18 hours just have plain tea, coffee or water. it cleanses your body as your body get rid of all the toxins and old cells and tissues. I tend to eat in a window 5pm - 8pm but low carb no sugar. I do resistance training as well - stretching a bit of weights. It keeps me slim and strong. Means I can ride my bike for longer all day comfort. Very few aches and pains. Cut out all he processed crap foods if you are eating any pies, pizzas, bread, breakfast cereals, oats grains and eat proper food meat eggs oily fish sardines mackerel lots of leafy greens broccoli brussel sprouts, salads, avocados, tomatoes, beetroot, pumpkin seeds. If you are going to eat carbs then new potatoes. Stay away from sugary fruit as well like bananas, pineapples, mangoes. Berries are ok, blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. You want to keep your blood sugar levels at moderate levels, not have huge spikes caused by eating sugar and carbs. Anyway way less of the diet stuff. Did you know there is now a ferry from Eemshaven in Holland to Kristiansand in Norway? Saves riding up through Germany and Denmark. Norway is stunning. Be sure to pack your wet weather gear. Have a great trip.
