He should make Jean jackets with a patch of blue collar on the back
Preventive maintenance is the best way forward. But when greasing the 5th wheel , scrape off the old grease first , do not mix old and new grease together. Just a thought. .🇬🇧🚛🇬🇧🚛🇬🇧
My grandpa used to work for the railroad and installed a set of train horns on his International Travelall. When he used them you could part the Red Sea. People would just pull over. Was a sight to see.

Those cracks are normal on drums. Its caused by heat soaking in the drum and rapid uneven cooling from several brake engagements. No need to worry as long as there is non completely threw the drum and the max diameter is within casted spec. Keep the videos coming brother!

Just a lil info for ya @Bruce Wilson. Next time you hardwire mig weld something that cracked, take a cutoff wheel and cut the entire length of the crack to open it up and remove poluted metal and allow for full penetration. But before you weld it always stop drill the crack because i gaurantee you the way you did it will crack again pretty quick. If you arent going to prep the metal as i suggested then swap your gas to 90/10 or a tri-mix (90/8/2, argon, co², helium) and crank your machine to about 25v minimum and atleast 400ipm wire speed and run spray transfer to get more penetration on something that thick.
Careful, WhistlinDiesel might want to drive that cabover off a 10ft. wall too!

Booty, bees, and trucks. Smart man. Keep the videos coming.
you need to get a real air valve for the horn, like a real locomotive, then you can do some 'tricks' with altering the sounds from it.
Don't worry too much about the little cracks in the trailer drums. No more than you use it, unless you plan on hauling in the mountains, with heavy loads, let it ride.
Ha! Just passed you in my Rig in GA, your going 75 North with two big ass monster trucks on the back. WIDELOAD indeed. Stay safe and keep them wheels shined!
now you have a chance to use your jakes going down mount eagle,a piece of advice stay on grandma lane since the big boys will be hauling ass🤣🤣

Yes, he does need to put conspicuity tape on the trailer but he said the trailer is done. I guess the DOT officer will remind him. We all tried to tell him many times 🙄
I thought you were selling that trailer or did I miss an episode? Also are you still going to do the Airforce Truck? I think it looks better than Blue Collar as it has nicer curves and lines were blue collar is like a square brick on a chassis. Keep up the great work I really enjoy watching but I get envious as I used to drive Roadtrains across Australia every week but had my neck fused and can’t do the driving anymore. I’ve thought about buying a truck just to drive down the road and back but the cost of rego kills the idea!! Anyway keep on truckin mate. Keep those videos coming.
A good place for extra storage is as "Job box" (or something similar) . LOL bolted to the frame of blue collar in front of the 5th wheels. Take it off when not traveling. Hell you could even strap a small camper loaded sideways back there. LMAO!
Good luck on the trip. Hopefully I see you on the road sometime. I'm in a light blue western star.
Drums are fine, as long as they’re not worn thin. Cracks are normal from heat. Replace them the next time you do shoes.
Hello Bruce. Your trailer requires red and white “Conspicuity tape”. It may or may not be required in Florida but as soon as you cross the state line you fall under federal regs and it is required. Additionally, not to be a Debby Downer, but you are engaging in commerce by hauling your trucks to go make videos and videos make you money, so legally you need a US DOT number. Even not for hire. I learned this while crossing into Indiana with a pulling tractor on the trailer. Just throwing it out there.
WD should run his ranger straight into this truck when he arrives 🤣🤣🤣

5:19 Love hearing the series 60 coming to life
“I’ve gotta sell my trailer I can’t fit everything on it” never sells the trailer, and it ends up that he can fit both trucks on there
Those are inboard drums I have done my fair share of em on boat trailers, not to bad to do just take time the brake shoes are pretty easy with the right tool
Your going to have those heat cracks on any semi brake drum not anything to worry about Also why don’t you put a rubber mud flap below your chain hanger on the headache each to keep from hearing the noise and to keep them from beating up the headache rack as well
Thanks for the videos Bruce have safe trip will enjoy the videos of the trip
When you have to tilt the cab forward, will the cab clear the horns without hitting them now? or did you check?
Weld a slip in receiver on the trailer so that you could have another hitch to pull a car trailer with.

Oh shit, don't tell him that. Some of these haters will then say he has to get a "Doubles & Triples" endorsement on his brand new CDL. Of course he wouldn't need to since he is "Non-Commercial", but they refuse to believe that. It's a damned good idea or course, but if he does it, the whiners won't give him a minute's peace.
Seriously nothing wrong with them brake drums that’s normal buddy best way find cracks in your drums give them a hit with a steel bar . When it sounds like it got a zing it’s good when it’s a thud it’s cracked somewhere . Good show keep it up Bruce :)
If you take that electric solenoid off and just put a fitting to hook up half inch then get you a hand valve from the chrome shop run half inch line to it from the tank.thats how mine is and its loud
When your heading up to his place You be going right past my place on I65 just north of of exit 80 in Indiana. that’s cool!
I love how the horn is so dang loud that it blocks out the sound of the truck for the next 5 seconds after it stops. Kind of made it seem like the horn managed to stall the engine somehow.
I know it’s too late now, but weld on a set of flip out extensions to the front, should give another 2ft or so.
Loud n proud, love it!!!👍👍👍
Wow! Big week ahead. Be safe and have fun.
i can't wait to see the video with whislindiesels farm, thats going to be epic
Being from Indiana. I honestly enjoy watching Whistlin Diesel get to see the home land where I grew up. Oh isn't there a diesel street truck show coming up not far from his place??? Foreshadowing??? I hope so would be a blast. Monster Max and Flatty.

Bruce, just a heads up, when you change a wheel stud, you should always replace one on either side of a broken one, due to the added stress that was applied to them after the one broke. Enjoy your videos.. Keep up the good work!
You might want to put an extra air tank on the freight shaker to accommodate thoes new horns other wise you be playing with the horns and look cool your brakes up from bleeding out your air.

Interior...yessssss!
You should get another set of fuel tanks on Blue Collar.... The ones on it are tiny and you have plenty of real estate underneath for more tanks.
Holy shit I cannot wait for the videos next week that sounds like a ton of fun
I like the Horn Jajajaja! Bless fron Puerto Rico!🇵🇷
The cracks on the drums are ok as they are just normal heat cracks that happen over time, as the trailer is only used on light haul short distance!! Keep up the good videos.......
I'm sure you don't have time to do it right now because of your trip but when I was trucking up in North Dakota I would see the guys with the long frame trucks like yours but their Harleys on the back they had a little spot made on the frame of the semi I love the videos man keep up all the great work
Don't let whistlen get blue collars keys. Hell jump it off a 10 ft wall
I thought he sold that trailer to some guy in Kentucky
You should put some tool boxes on the frame of blue collar. Can put the will it start stuff in there temporarily.

Put the four wheeler on the back of flatty. Build some stupid cool ramps.
Bruse you should turn 1 ton tammy around you will gain alittle realestate on your trailer and your drive shaft shouldnt be an issue of concern then you will probably haft to use some blocks of wood to get the rear up high enough to clear the hitch to get up there tho just a thought
Good video keep up the good work
Austins welding skills are non existent but hey . It'll hold together I guess . Missed Amber even though she made a short appearance but hey . Sure wish my daddy had me sorted like yours has you . Good luck to you and enjoy yaself . Don't take tomorrow for granted :-D
Looks like you have room so I would build some front deck ramps/extensions to bolt to the front of the trailer. Then you could drive the front vehicle closer to the back of the tractor and open up more deck space. Seen alot of old trailers like yours done that way in the past.
“This truck will take anything you throw at it”
Looking forward to the next bunch of vids dude👍🇳🇿🤟
Those drums will be fine. Every brake job I do on trailers has the cracks. As long as they aren't cracked through the drum you're ok.
hi to you great video on here today stay safe down by you all
Hell yeah brother!
Your doing a great job on the freight shaker, makes me want to drive 1 again.
Bruce just living his best life. Love it man
Lift the rear axle of the 4th gen on blocks to clear the drive shaft
Great video 👍
Those drums are fine. If your fussy replace them but the new ones will crack the same as well.
Epic!
Don’t forget to add reflective tape to the trailer. Besides DOT hassles it makes a black trailer pop with the red and white.
