My name is Zara Beth (zeezee25 on tiktok) and I post videos about disability, neurodiversity and what its like living with Tourette's Syndrome, Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) and a chronic illness called Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). Tourette's syndrome is a neurological condition causing involuntary movements called tics.
I use my social media (TikTok, KZread and Instagram) to advocate and raise awareness for my conditions and show what it is like living with a disability as a neurodivergent person.
I am also autistic and share my sensory struggles along with my experiences with mental health disorders.
I show what its like having a disability and the accomodations I have to help my daily life. I am also an ambulatory wheelchair user showing my life using mobility aids and how symptoms change from day to day!
I am also a musician with a popular song called "She's Mine" available on all streaming services - I wrote, produced, mixed and mastered all my songs myself! I am also an artist and a writer. I love reading and I'm currently writing a novel and a book about my life!

Dear anyone who needs to hear this, neurodivergent or not (you too Zara). It’s ok for something to be too much. It’s ok to leave. It’s ok to not want to do things. It’s ok to be overwhelmed and break down. It’s not ok for people to hold any of that agents you and make you feel bad for it. This is the most stressful time of the year for many people, especially my neurodivergent homies. Tomorrow is gonna be a rough day, I’m not gonna lie. There’s gonna be loud noises, bright flashy things, large crowds, itchy and uncomfortable clothing, new routines, and things you don’t wanna do. And I’m sure you might shut down or have a melt down because of it all. And that’s completely ok to do. It’s ok to wear your headphones, its ok to have a fidget toy with you, its ok to not hug everyone, its ok to not wear or eat what everyone else is, and its ok to tic and stim as much as you need. Take your time to process everything around you at your own pace, on your own time. Good luck tomorrow, and merry Christmas to you all. Zara do you think you can pin this comment because i want anyone who needs to be able to see it. I love you so much. Merry Christmas!❤️ - your AuDHD beastie, Alex

Thanks so much, i have misophonia which is a disorder where certain sounds cause me to have a trally big reaction like anger, rage, disgust and many more. Right now i cant get a diagnosis because my family doesnt belove i have it. Since they dont think i do i have to hide my feelings. So ill definitely think of this whenever im triggered😁
The no pressure gift opening is so relatable. When I'm constantly trying to make a look like I am enjoying something it takes so much away from the actual enjoyment I am getting from it. Great tips, there are certainly a few on there that I haven't thought of and can help! Another thing I find can help a lot is just a pair of headphones, music or not, to just reduce the noise.
As a neurodivergent person, I love your content and it helps me remember I'm not alone. Thanks
Thanks for this. It was very reassuring to hear so many of the things I have set up for myself come up in your list. I’ve managed to ensure I never open gifts in front of my friends , and with my family I do struggle to ‘perform’ despite my parents being massively chilled and likely wouldn’t mind at all if I wanted to be totally non reactionary. I am lucky that my family is so relaxed and we also don’t drink or party, glad to hear you have the same situation!
It’s nice to see someone who is also struggling with opening gifts and showing big emotions I thought it was just me and I’m glad to see that I’m not alone thank you for sharing tips
Number six is literally the thing I struggle with the most, I thought it was really weird and no one else relates to me but I’m so happy I’m not alone. I always feel so bad because I don’t really have any reaction to presents but inside I’m really grateful and always love the gifts I get. ❤ Also, merry Christmas / Christmas Eve Zara hope you have an amazing Christmas 💓
It’s good to know that I’m not the only one who gets stressed out because of the noise and attention during the holidays. Every year my entire family gathers in one house to open gifts and the stress always made me panic and have to excuse myself to go and recover/cry
This couldn’t have come at a better time, im finding this Christmas more difficult than ever I think just because there’s more to think about and plan for. I’ve been ill with my epilepsy symptoms for months and so having to spread things out to make sure I’m not too tired. Plus I have anxiety so that makes everything tricky. I’m so glad I saw this, it’s nice to know that I’m not on my own and Christmas is hard for lots of people! The gift opening especially, I’ve been feeling like I shouldn’t hate opening them but I just do 😅 thank you Zara! Merry Christmas x
The gift things is so relatable. I find it so hard to enjoy unwrapping when i have to react a certain way to make others happy. Wrapping paper is so stimmy, but enjoying it is hard when im schooling my expressions the whole time. I find it uncomfortable and exhausting. I wish people could understand i do love their gift, its just difficult for me to show.
I love your channel so much. I alreay use a lot of these tricks (I'm a HUGE advocate for Sit-In-The-Dark time, since i also can't nap) but if its not too nasty outside I'll try and take a walk, too. My partner and I are both neurodivergent and disabled in several ways. I have DID, too, which impacts everything. One day I want to have an advocacy channel for living with DID and what treatment has been like for me so far. I'm 20 and attending university though, so I don't have much time or energy. I just want you to know that you inspire me to keep that dream of making advocacy content in mind. Thank you for what you do! I hope you have a happy holidays.
I'm stuck in a situation were my family never believes me when isay i'm neurodivergent so it's hard to get my needs in and they just see me as a passive agressive person cause i ignore them a lot when they talk to me and ask me for things cause im sometimes physically unable to stop my brain from doing what it's doing to pay attention to them so they think im just a pathetic human who apparently put's things in their head from the internet and i live in that cycle all the time. We left to go to my aunty's house yesterday for christmas eve it was great but my dad's side of my fam is so loud and i cant be around loud noises constantly and i was having bad anxiety and gender dysphoria and no one in my family gets any of this shinanigans so i'm glad to have friends who do and a channel like urs to help me keep sane throughout my days love you lots u brighten my day

Sorry to hear about your situation, I hope things get better for you and that you have a happy and restful Christmas 🎄
Christmas can be so stressful and overwhelming, that sometimes I wonder if we'd all be better off celebrating it, say, every Leap Year, instead of annually, as we do now. If the whole festive season came that much less frequently, I think we'd appreciate it more and look forward to it with greater expectation. It would have more meaning for us. And just because Christmas would come only every fourth year, wouldn't mean we'd have to make it even more of a commercial extravaganza when it did arrive. Over time, we could turn it into more of a time for acts of charity and kindness towards others, especially the less fortunate, as was originally intended.
Merry Christmas everybody!
Thanks for this. Currently punching my leg as hard as I can cause of my Tourette’s. Your vids sometimes help it calm down

Merry Christmas 🎄 keep up the good work 🎄✌🏻🫶🏻
Being autistic, that opening presents thing is so relatable. I have to let my family know that if I don't seem thankful when I open your present, know that I am thankful but I just like to keep things chill
I like planning and especially having a plan but I find it very difficult because I never know how I'll be feeling and also the decision fatigue and problems with prioritizing due to the adhd. I love the list though! Thanks
Tips were very well thought out. That moss covered tree was dreamy! Mahalo and much Aloha 🌺🐬⛵
I hope you have a lovely restful time with your family. Lots of love to you and your loved ones.
Thank you, Zara. Some really great, insightful tips. The one that stands out for me, personally, is #9. You explain it so well, and I may well share this in future as your clear expression will hopefully bring understanding to friends and family. I hope your Christmas is filled with joy and you don't have to pay for it with exhaustion and burnout. God bless you! 🙏❤️

Greetings Zara. The store you are wandering around during the video looks incredible. Staring at the Christmas lights has always been a very relaxing stim for me since I was a little kid. I used to sit in my rocking chair and stare at the tree for hours when I was young (and honestly I still do that! ). The place you were browsing in looks like a stim utopia for me! Could you share the name of the store (unless it is only local to you and would give away info about you)? I hope your Christmas is exactly how you described in the video!
You're so thoughtful to do a video like this. I hope that you and your family had a lovely Christmas and have a Happy New Year X
Thank you, for everything you're doing and just for being you. I'm learning so much ✨️
Thank you! and love, light and spoons to you and all that need them!
If I knew all this about myself when I was younger...39 and about to go thru the diagnosis process for being neurodivergent. Family holidays stressed me out so bad that I would have to take a nap at someone else's house, or even hide in the bathroom and cry bc it was all too much, as I got older I just stopped going.
As being a neurodivergent i love to listen to music. It helps me relax. :)
Thanks for the tips 😊
I love you, Zara!!! You're so sweet! Please take this time to (try) not to stress!! We are all here for you and love you!!🎄💜❄️ Thank you for these!!❤❤ Merry Christmas, Zara!✨️✨️
Thank you Zara 🙏 I hope you know how great you are, and how many people you’re helping and how big of an inspiration you are ❤️❤️

This is helpful for me since today I have a Christmas part (sorta) with my family in my aunt’s house, I’ll be meeting my niece, my aunt(s), uncle(s), I will socializing and I have ADHD (kinda undiagnosed but I have seen a therapist about it) My parents tell me to stay still but they gotta learn me and my brother love tapping our feet and make up beats on surfaces because we both like the drums, that’s why I feel so relieved my niece is there since she’s chaotic as me except 5x chaotic since she’s 3 years younger than me.
Merry Christmas 🎄 😊😊

I'm definitely not neurodivergent, but... I do prefer to plan ahead. My preferred Christmas tree is one of those all white artificial trees made with color flashing lights. I have preferences, but can also be 'give and take' - this for that.

She likely is cutting out tics for the video to be more productive. It’s meant to be more informative, so she probably would like to keep the video going. It’s also possible that when she recorded she had very little tics or none at all in the moment.🫶🫶

Hey Zara, I just wanted to ask if you could please improve your subtitles. Sometimes, my hearing goes away, and I cant hear. In some parts of your videos there aren't subtitles but you're talking and also the subtitles sometimes don't make sense, I understand that you put a lot of effort into your videos but I'd greatly appreciate if you put a little into your subtitles. A great example of subtitles is from the youtuber grian on his more recent videos. P.s. sorry for spamming, but I will post until I am noticed.
