Happy New Year, Robert! 🍀 In Germany we call it „Apfelstrudel“. I had a grandmother from Bohemia, and her recipe is the same as yours. 🤗 Thank you for your great content!

Yes, Apfelstrudel! Happy new year 😺🙂
Happy new year! I was watching your video as I was eating breakfast. While you were eating your potica, I was eating my kolachy (which is what my Ukrainian grandmother called the same bread). Every Christmas I make three kinds: walnut, poppyseed, and apricot.

@@klerobi1 You're welcome Robert, I have a little stainless steel wood stove, but it doesn't have an oven. I don't have access to pallets, but I have been able to find enough scrap wood to keep warm. Don't need as much here in Southern Texas!

Happy New Year, Robert! Your Apple Raisin pastry looked nice. Next time, try a couple of things: Add a sprinkle of flour after the sugar and a pinch of salt, then mix together as before. Then, when you put the fruit onto the pastry add a few pieces of butter to add richness. Finally, slightly beat an egg and brush the long edge to seal the seam after you roll up the pastry. Put the seam side down. Brush the remaining beaten egg (or milk) over the tops and sprinkle on a little sugar. Use a fork to prick a few vent holes for the steam. Bake and Enjoy!

@@klerobi1 I have 3 dogs and 3 cats. Indoors. They get used to each other and actually begin protecting each other and playing with each other. Key is teaching the dog to respect them and not invade their personal bubble 🤣🤣

@@klerobi1 If you get them as a little puppy, it's even easier. Those cats will put that puppy in it's place and teach it the limits they want it to have. At first, if you keep the puppy close by perhaps on a leash and have it sleep in a crate at night at first, that will prevent him/her from getting close to the cats until the cats finally accept it and get used to him/her being there. It's totally doable. Just let them get close enough to just smell each other, without the cats scratching the little guys eyes out. Like I said, those cats can protect themselves and won't get mad at you for bringing a dog into their home if you make sure you force the distance between them until all the smelling and sniffing is done and the puppy learns to respect the cats space, which he/she will learn and learn quicker if they are just a puppy. I've been mixing cats and dogs for about 30 years now and have never had anyone get hurt, not even a scratch. It's actually the other way around. The dogs grow to protect the cats. I've even had the cats chasing the dogs when they were playing. How you introduce them is the key to everyone living in peace. If need be, perhaps you can "foster" a puppy and give it a test for a couple days or couple of weeks just to see how the cats respond and if they slowly warm up to the idea. Then, if it doesnt work out, since it's a foster situation, you can return it with apologies but it didn't work out. Sorry I wrote a book here. But it's not like I could grab a cup of coffee, sit, and say it all to face to face 🤣

@@teresa6775 Thanks Teresa for this explanation. I will probably get a puppy in the spring, but it all depends on the situation, and how things will go 🙂
