Preparing Autogyro Blades

Making Balsa Autogyro blades is not hard to do and is very cheap to make.
One sheet of Balsa and two strips of hardwood is all that is needed to make four blades although you will only be using three for a small light weight model like my converted Lidl Autogyro.
Just sand the Blade to a Aerofoil and patience to get them balanced correctly.
To further improve imbalance try swapping the blades on the delta plate to see if it makes any improvements.

After several years building, and flying blades , I weight them as you did. Then I cut tape or covering material to exact diference weight to add on the 2 lightest ones. Using the heavier one, as reference, on the balancer, I move the additional tape to find the balance... So, cg is the correct and both finish with the same weigth. Then the second ligth one , and that works fine.

Once you are at that stage yes they should work fine. 👍 If a little out of balance try switching position of the blades on the delta plate , So blade 1, 2, 3 becomes 1,3,2 or set the head up in a vice so all three blades are on the delta plate vertically and add tape to the lightest blade. It is a juggling act to get them perfect. But so long as the imbalance is not too far out it will work fine.

Good morning friend, please help me with some ideas! I would like to make an RC gyrocopter and I don't know how to calculate the fuselage and the blade rotor.

I wish their was a simple answer but their not, but for now watch this video as I think peter explains the problems better than I could also read his description for more info. kzread.info/dash/bejne/on-ao9OfYdO5lto.htmlsi=x_rQULZTcgSSSDon

Well, mine came with built blades. I'm a first-timer noobie, aside from a cheap 2 channel foam plane. I figured out how to iron the warpage out. I did not think to balance. Thank you for your video. I think I might use the same method for the ancient ceiling fans we have.

Yes it is very important to balance your blades.

could one use RC helicopter blades angled down on the rotor head?

No, Rc Gyrocopters have a flat bottom aerofoil a bit like a clark Y . But the leading edge needs to be sharp not rounded . Look here 1:00
