Cool. First time I did this it did work. 2 second time it worked. I had to do this. Take 2000ml of Distilled Water and add 2.4 grams or 1/4 teaspoon of Baking Soda. Add 50ml of that solution to an empty bottle. Then add 400ml of Distilled Water to the 50ml of Baking Soda Solution. On the 4th drop it turned from Blue to Yellow.

you end up with a solution of 0.12g/L of baking soda. If your scale is accurate to 10mg, you can make the solution with just 1L of distilled water and 0.12g of baking soda. The dilution is used to make it more precise, you could use 1L of water and 1.2g of baking soda instead. This solution is used with the bromo blue or ph regent from 6 to 7.6.

Thank you for making an easy to follow and understand recipe for making the solution. There are so many vids, chat rooms, and posts out there that tell everyone just to add this magic solution without telling anyone in an easy to understand way how in the hell you come up with the solution. I'll be using your recipe.

Also, 2.4 grams of baking soda is just over 1/4 tsp.

Thank you for your video. I see that you have written 'until it turns from blue to bright yellow', I think some people are not taking into account the 'bright' part. At 3 drops it was a very pale yellow.

Nice video! Does the PH of the solution you made come out to be 7? If the PH is higher than 7 will that affect results?
