i have realized that lost ark preys on the sunk cost fallacy, please break the loop. I used to play ark survival evolved, the king of the sunk cost fallacy, the best thing that ever happened to me playing that game for 3.5k hours was the official network of servers permanently shutting down. Made me forcibly realize how deep i had fallen into the trap. Dont let lost ark or any other game of this nature do this to you

I hope you get the help you need. This is a video game. If you feel yourself taking prey to psychological effects knowledge is the best counter. If you can’t handle yourself in games, the real world will devastate you. I genuinely hope you figure it out. Lost Ark is easily the best game I have ever played and I WISH I could spend more time/effort/spend more time in the community. Also some basic perspective of “my problems aren’t the worlds problems” will help massively. Best of luck brother

You dont need to be in tier 4 on day 1 my dude. Take your time. Even if yo are a week or two later in it, it doesn't really matter. It would be worse if you burn yourself out in these 2 months leading up to it and ruin tier 4 and the game for yourself. These 2 months should be more of a break season before the new season than heavy grind.

This kind of thing isn't relevant to casual gamers. You can chill in T3 or just move up to T4 without adv honing and slowly gain the resources necessary while doing T3 raids and T4 dailies. No big deal.

I bet you've honed and spent millions of gold on alts. As well as spread all your event mats on different characters. Imagine if you had used that on one character instead.

Dont do anything until after July 17th, we are said to be getting a special event to help us Hon. Advance Honing pass 10 is not worth it if you do not have alts at 1620, even 10 might not be worth it for some. Using Life Skill energy for Stronghold Orehas is still spending gold because you could just do Life Skills and make that gold, so its still costing you gold.... Advance Hon 1-10 = around 328,650 raw gold 6,700 Oreha at 71g = 475,700 Advance Hon 11-20 = around 643,200 raw gold 7,445 Oreha at 71g = 528,595 Orehas have nearly doubled since Advance Honing have released for the West If you have the mats other than Orehas its around 465k to go from 1610 to 1620, and that is without books, maybe drop 200k off with books. With the gold from doing advance honing from 11-20 you could hon around 3 to 4 or 5 characters with books to 1620. This would net you more gold in the long run along with the ability to feed your main T4 mats to hon the new gear +1 to +3 netting you more item level than advancing honing 11-20 along with more T4 characters that will always be farming gold from T4 mats and Gems. After you get your alts to 1620, you can then do advance honing to 20 if you wish. priority should be honing 6 characters to 1620 then working on advance honing for main etc. The solution for the Field boss is to Hon your Sup to 1620, dont have a Sup make one with the new Event coming on July 17th, when your Sup is 1640 just join a group of 1660+.

​@@XII_osu Yikes man I dont think you can comprehend what I said, because if you did you would understand my point is, for the cost of gold it takes to advance hon from 11 to 20 you could make multiple 1620 alts, or future 1640 T4 alts that will be money printers in T4, and +10 is an alt or two on its own. Err also I have had 5, 1610 "alts" since Feb. They cost around 150k-200k each to hon from 1600 to 1610. In that time they have made me over 3M in raid gold on top of gem gold and accessories gold. They also made be around 700k when leaps were selling for 150g-200g each. In total over 5 months id say they made be around 5m-6m well worth the 900k-1.2m investment into them. I did keep them at 1610 because it was pointless to hon them to 1620 until last month, but AGS mention we are getting some type of honing "event" so I am holding off until after the 17th. I guess for a F2P I must be doing something right.

It is always a bait for SG and Amazon to get you to spend more time in the game while starving your main for gold. This is literally the whole point of them encouraging and baiting you to make more characters. It is to get people to spend more time playing the game to feel like they're being more productive and making more gold. In reality those people will always be behind a person who sunk every event mat into their main and used the majority of their gold on their main. The funniest part is 6x alt (no mains) players are the only ones feeling burned out and desperately needing honing nerfs. People who are focusing on a single main do not have these issues. We play the game less than you while doing more of the latest content. I'm guessing you still haven't progged gate 4 thaemine right?

He is right about life skills going a long way, recently I had to switch to T-mobile internet(pls help) and it's so dogshit I stopped doing raids with other players except hanmutan and sonavel and oreha well because those are easy I make all my gold from una's tokens and my life skills I'm telling you excav and fishing have been my goto for selling and it makes me quite a bit.

Thanks for the guide. Its up to date for those already at that ilvl i guess. Maybe abit of a meme. But I am F2P here in NA/EU I am still only between 1540-1600 from main to alts. And all the things that been said here i still have no idea whats going on right now kek. Just a wish but can still scroll and search for video though no problem. But if there could be a consolidating and simplified guide that could connect ilvl from 1540 to 1640. For example a connected guide/playlist: Okej on this part of ilvl you will be dealing with Elixir at 1600 (here link to the guide), then when you get to 1610 least where you can do Theamine normal, then when you get to 1620, not only work on leg Elixir but also now has chance to enter new area and get and transfer gear so you can get to 1640. From 1640 later, this is where things starting to with T4 material etc. and so on.

I have a question, I'm 1640 + I will get to 1650 with maxed advance honing in few weeks ,being 1650 before T4 release what is better for me to wait for T4 mats then hone from 1670 to 1680 or try to push my items from 1630 ( + 21 ) to 1640 ( +23 ) now with T3 mats and with advance honing 20 levels = 1660 I would be instant 1680 after T4 comes and ready for new world boss.

How do you keep gaining honor shards for advanced honing once you hit T4? In NA/EU we don't have millions just sitting around.

You do get some from clearing T3 raids, but the point is unlocking adv honing with T3 shards before hitting T4 because that has a heavy upfront cost. You tap the adv hones with T4 shards.

I'm gonna chill in solo for a couple weeks then uninstall till new solo content. Enjoy the same old hamster wheel, I'm not doing it again, and so is 97% of the playerbase that left

i have one question, if i unlock 10-20 on tier 3 and tap it once and convert the piece to t4, the cost remains at t3 or t4?

From what i understood if u unlock it in T4 you will need to spend T4 materials which are more expensive. If u unlock it while still in T3 u can spend the rest of your bound T3 mats so its much more efficient

When you unlock it in T4, that'll cost T4 materials. If you have T3 materials, you get a bad conversion ratio or no conversion at all with shards but you can avoid this by doing advanced honing with them.

I don't think he has a good understanding of global server since he's not playing here. Yeah, not even casuals, 1630 is generally speaking a f2p unfriendly item level PRE advanced honing. As a f2p you can only get 1630 with advanced honing, because otherwise - even if you dump all of your roster income into your main, if you get slightly unlucky with those 1.5% base rates to 21 - you will end up being stuck somewhere at 1627 with no good alts etc., f2p players will never do that. So, 1640 is what the goal is for the west, and since advanced honing is cheaper now, we will do those 10 iLvLs anyway even though 1650 is useless in t4.
