I'm 37, been living abroad for nearly 2 years and this exchange just made me OH SO excited to go home to my mum again. She's literally my best friend and this is how we work together. It's so cute and now I'm homesick, but in 4.5 months I get to live with her again yay!!

coming from someone who has multiple chronic illnesses and who has traveled extensively, it sucks to take all your pill bottles but some security will confiscate your meds if there is no identification for what they are. It's a bummer, but super important to keep meds in their prescription bottles for identification purposes!!

Something I've learnt : Leave some space in your bag, you don't want to be trying to repack everything neatly everytime you have to move. And you're going to buy stuff

Just ask whatever hotel/hostel you’re staying at. I did it all the time when I was there for a month last year. I don’t know if you’ll see this but I figured I might as well let you know

Next time you should get compression packing cubes! I’m also an over-packer and I’ve been able to travel in Europe and Southeast Asia for 3 weeks (separate trips) in a carry on with them. You don’t worry about the taking air out each time!

Also! I don’t think you’ll have an issue with Thailand, but be sure to bring prescriptions in original packaging (as much as it sucks). It’s to prove it’s a prescription. Some medication can give you issues in other countries. Just to be safe!

Have so much fun on your trip, Hannah! Excited for you 😀 Would love to see an "unpack with me" video when you come back to show us what you used/didn't use and what you bought! You're already in Thailand so I don't know how helpful this will be, but maybe for your next trip - you can condense some of your liquids by decanting them into smaller containers. For example, I like to use a contact lens case to carry things like serum because it is tiny and leakproof. Target has a bunch too!

On the rolling compression bags, it recommend going over the zipper or seal whatever yours has, like 4 times then roll. Sometimes that seal isn’t great and then where the air escapes, sometimes clothes can block it so make sure there’s no clothes blocking that valve

Fun packing video! I know one thing to be cautious about is your meds - especially prescription - you may want to take a screenshot or insert a paper copy of your prescription off the bottles in case those get questioned.

I love pill containers for travel, but depending what country you are traveling to, you should check the requirements; some countries are very strict, and want you to have prescription meds in their original bottle and/or have a copy of the prescription or a letter from your doctor.

Girl for future travels you need to get yourself some Peak Design packing cubes - compression with a clean/ dirty side. You can limit yourself to what can fit in those 2 cubes. (medium and small). Promise you never need more than that - especially in a hot country. Amazon also has a great light weight packable puffer coat that can compress into an empty neck pillowcase. It's a game changer for me!

I traveled Thailand last week from Japan. Thailand is sooo hot so I took a shower several times a day and changed my clothes. You can buy cheap and cute clothes in Thailand, so you don't have to bring too many clothes. For People who are going to travel to Thailand from now on❤

Hi! In a lot of countries you can't travel with loose medication that's not in their original packaging (with the leaflet). I know it takes up a lot of space, but I've known people that had to dump all their pills bc of this

I’m from Thailand ( living in USA for 10 years now ) We have so many mall and shopping center for you to buy all the personal stuff that have the same brand as the US ( so easy to find thing there ) so don’t worry or packed too much

The travel compression bags are sooooo clutch

Have a fantastic trip!!! You will love it. Be adventurous and take all the opportunities! The people are beyond lovely and you will have a blast! I used to go to Thailand a few times a year. I would take THREE (yes, 3) pairs of underwear for each day as there are many showers/baths each day 🤣 I only have ten pairs of underwear these days - I have to remind myself that it is no longer necessary to have a stockpile for the end of the world. Also, I have used that Beis bag on Delta. I HATE it but that is just me. I gave it to a friend who loves it. I am back to a backpack and a messenger bag.
