We got a reversal too! We were pregnant within ONE MONTH after getting the reversal!

Amie ? How much time did you wait for his recovery? They usually recommend at least a month... 🙄 My husband just woke up from the surgery.

Alex O'Neil do they have your husband on clomid? Our dr recommendeds waiting 3 weeks post surgery to try. She’s very good from USC so I’m sure you could start trying after 3 weeks if they did two direct connections 😀

shadybreezy , He did not take Clomid until now. I asked Amie that question because my husband’s third week of recovery would match my ovulation. Just wondering if we should be patient until november...or just try in October

Alex O'Neil if you can find out the type of reversal he had (my husbands was 2 direct connections) then you could probably try during your ovulation window. The reason why is our Dr said the tubes are open by 3 weeks with the 2 direct connection method. and so it’s okay to start ttc any time after that

I can totally relate. after my husband had his vasectomy I felt resentful to him becuz I didnt feel like I was done. And it bothered me for years. He had it reversed Feb 2017. We ended up going to a fertility clinic in May after 15 months of trying. We got pregnant after doing a few different medications and trigger shot for ovulation. We are 20 weeks pregnant with our miracle baby. Due June 26th:)

Your vasectomy story sounds JUST like ours! I was not on board with the surgery, but my husband wanted it immediately after the birth of our 2nd child. I felt guilty and depressed about a year later, and just like you, after lots of prayer and conversation, my husband has decided that yes it was wrong (our personal opinion for our family) to have a vasectomy. So he will be getting a reversal! And praise God, His heart has changed and he is leaving our family size up to the Lord 🙌🏽❤️🙏🏼 Mahalo for sharing! I’m definitely subscribing and following your journey! I’m so excited for you and your family!

I wish I couldn't relate to this but sadly this sound like our story I finally talked to my hubby and he now also want to reverse his vasectomy we haven't even seen a doctor yet I have no idea what road we will go down if it will be possible for us to get pregnant again I'm praying for a miracle and the reversal to go good.

My boyfriend was fixed when I met him but recently we was talking about a vesectomy reversal . We see a Dr in a few weeks to see about the costs and how much we have to save and stuff. Thanks for sharing ur story!

Aww yay! I'm so happy you were able to get pregnant again! I looked up vasectomy reversal on you tube and found your video! My bf had a vasectomy after 3 kids with his ex wife. I am 32 and have none and it is my ultimate dream and goal to have kids. It is a problem in our relationship. We've looked into reversal and the procedure that requires extracting the sperm and doing IVF. I was always under the assumption from things I read that reversal has a higher probability of not working therefore I had my mind set on the IVF which is at least $15,000. How much was y'all's reversal?

My husband's reversal was 10k..that's including the first consultation.

Did you guys decide to travel to Texas for this procedure or are you local to that area? I ask this because after doing some research on baby message boards, I’ve seen so many couples going to this one particular doctor (flying out to see him) and I am wondering can we not just use someone local? I mean, I know we can, but is it better to go to someone out of state. It seems like a huge deal to go through, flight, hotel etc. and I’m wondering do I not know something everyone else does? Should we pick one of these shot urologist to do the procedure or is the ones in our state okay to use? Basically my question is what was your reasoning behind traveling if you guys did I in fact travel for this procedure?

@@dejna4722 Yay! congrats keep me updated. WE are actually 4 months in nothing yet. But I read sometimes it works this early and other times it takes up to a year. I also have hashimotos so that plays a part. But hubby is going to get checked in Oct. to see if everything is active lol!
