Congratulations. I’m about 4weeks, 6days. I’m 30 now, first pregnancy and I lost my mom 3yrs ago and it hard going through this without her. Like who do I call to get that motherly advice. I’m 26 1st pregnancy 5weeks 6 days , sorry about your mom but watching your videos i know your mom is watching over you , lost my grandmother and uncle three weeks apart and now finding out I’m pregnant now my father in law has cancer , i felt the same symptoms tho im super emotional and MEAN lol found out when i was 7 days late , anyway im super nervous at 5 weeks im just ready to be in my next trimester i also left my job to wfh because of stress

Congratulations!! I just found out yesterday (Feb 3rd) that I'm pregnant! (Approx 5 weeks) I also took 3 test. Some things I noticed that made me test was... My boobs looked & felt heavy, my back was hurting while eating dinner and when I went to sleep that night I had horrible night sweats. I was 2 days late but thought It was coming late. My first test popped up positive SO fast I was in disbelief.

I’m about 3-5 days missed period. My periods always been a little off but this time I feel really different. I got a negative test last week but I really want to test again but something is telling me to wait. I don’t want to be disappointed if I see a negative but I’m really hoping I’m pregnant. Everything is in perfect timing love, the month before I found out I was pregnant my cycle came about 5 days late & I was starting to get a little excited like I might’ve been pregnant but then my period started & i got a little sad … the following month I tested because I was late again & it was positive. Stay encouraged ❤️

I live in Maryland and it was SOOOOOO hard for me to find a black dr! I found one I love and she has helped me along my preconception journey. My worry is she works for a practice and I hope (when I get pregnant and deliver) she will be delivering my baby! Good luck mama❤❤❤

It’s so important to feel comfortable with your healthcare provider. I ended switching to a midwife after my experience going to an ob gyn clinic & feeling like my appointments were rushed & I wasn’t being heard , she isn’t black but she’s amazing, she’s patient & highly advocates for black women.

Congratulations! Our stories are similar. I’m 27 I lost my mom at 24 (Oct. 2020) The only consolation I have is that I will be due 5 days before her birthday which I could deliver on her birthday! I try not to think of her not being here but remember all that she instilled in me

Hello again, I'm the one who left the comment about Alta. Glad you got out of that and that you are in better state of mind. Sore boobs are not necessary. A common thing for a lot of women. I know my daughters don't get that before their periods me. My boobs were sore all the time which is called firocystic breast. It's not anything bad but your boobs are constantly sore so for me finding out I was pregnant which i have four grown kids now was basically when I was about 3 months. That's when I would find out because like you said you had symptoms of being pregnant. Mine was always there and I wasn't pregnant so it was hard for me to find out when I was. Anyway, thank you so much for sharing and good luck on your journey. I don't know when you feel this. I just started listening to your video as of today so I'm probably very late. So if you've already had the baby, congratulations and you will make a great mother just by watching the video that I have seen

Thank you so much! 😊 It’s best to wait a few days after your first missed period to take a test. Then if the test is positive, they will calculate the numbers of weeks pregnant based off of the first day of your last period. Hope that makes sense.

I’m sorry to hear that you lost your mom too, I know it’s not easy… but congratulations on your pregnancy. At the beginning of pregnancy for me, it was a bittersweet feeling finding out I was pregnant but now I feel that I have something to look forward to and I’m more excited than anything. Yes, I’m still sad that I don’t have my mom here physically, but I believe that everything that she taught me will help guide me through my journey of motherhood. For me it was sneezing a LOT, I woke up one day from a dead sleep and I told myself to take a pregnancy test… I ignored that thought and went back to sleep lol, heavier breast and sleep disruption

I actually switched to a midwife , I wasn’t havent the best experience with the ob I had.

I lost my mom when I was 7 and I don't have any family. Just me and my Fiancé! He's amazing and shows me a lot but sometimes it's lonely. I wish I could call my mom or text her.

I'm 34 and 4weeks 6days, I had a chemical pregnancy last year just after I found out I was pregnant but this time round feels totally different, fingers crossed. I'm so bloated, I feel hungry constantly 😂

I had a dream two weeks ago, my mom who expectedly passed in 2021 was feeding me in my dream. Telling me I needed to eat. I’m all I need to eat? She goes yeah for the baby *points to my stomach * . From that dream I knew i was. I tested at 8dpo. I got my first very very faint line. On Father’s Day 10dpo I got a very visible line fast.

Omg I'm 27 and I have the same symptoms...like my belly is so hard and high...the farting is getting ridiculous 😅 I keep peeing and I think I gave myself my first uti...lol I'm use to peeing like 3 maybeee 4 times a day....not like 10...but yes I told my man and he had the biggest smile when I said I may be pregnant (this was before I missed my period...I'm at day 4 of missing it now). I didn't bother to take a plan b because I want a baby and honestly want him to be the father but I genuinely thought it wasn't going to happen I have pcos and in the past I've experienced no success. So yeah...but I agree the cramping is DIFFERENT like it's not excruciating at all...I haven't been my normal moody self...I feel very light and beautiful 🩷 idk my body is doing different things😅 and I'm spotting...my period does not "spot" it is full force bright heavy redness...but the spotting is milky baby pink...I keep waking up sweating in my very cool house...I'm gonna re test next week because I think my hcg levels aren't high enough yet. I've alwaysss wanted kids and having that unconditional love around. I just found out I’m pregnant 04/23/23 with our rainbow baby we tried for 9 years I was also diagnosed with blocked tubes both in 2016 this is amazing I can’t believe this my period app trackers says I’m 4 weeks and 5 days. How I kind of knew I was pregnant I was having pressure pains in my abdomen and a lot a lot of white milky clear discharge and boobs hurt a little bit we are so blessed this is amazing I’m also a first time mom as well we are very scared we are praying for an amazing perfect pregnancy. And yes I knew I wanted him to be my only baby daddy when we first met back in 2014 he’s an amazing man I could only imagine how amazing he’ll be as a father he finally got his wish and so did I I’m crying while typing this hahahaha lol.

Thank you so much 🥰💕The doctors go based on the first day or your last period before becoming pregnant. Usually you actually become pregnant about 2 weeks after the period but they still count from that day. Hopefully that made sense . Congratulations to you too 🎉✨

I guess I was just too anxious to think that I was because I missed my period and I kept getting negative tests. I'm now expecting to see my period this time but it may just surprise me this month when I least expected I just have to wait and see again. This time I may not be too quick to take any tests l just don't like the waiting game you know!🤷🏾‍♀️😂

And yes, you are right about getting an African American doctor. Us black people are not treated fairly when it comes down to our health care and there's nobody that's going to treat you better than us. So yes, you are very right in trying to find a black female doctor for your care. I'm so glad that you know that because a lot of people don't and they think that all doctors are the same and they're not. So I made a comment earlier and I see that it's 6 months ago that this video was put up. So you should be having your baby about August September. That's when my first grandbaby is going to be born as well. Good luck and hope everything works out and hope that you did find the doctor that you were looking for because yes we die a lot more than the average American white woman as far as having babies in the medical system.
