I needed this video. Gosh, in just 3 days, my face became covered in acne. My last acne days were my teenage years. Just when I thought the 2nd trimester would be less troublesome, I get hit with a ton of acne and soo much bloating 😫😫😫

I was controlling my acne with tretinoin and spironolactone before I was pregnant so unfortunately I had to completely change my acne routine and my skin is freaking out from that and the hormones. Love your videos! Can you be my dermatologist?? 😅☺️

Hi dr Liu, i struggle with acne on my face. I have been following your advice regarding skincare products in pregnancy. I am in my second trimester. I started using glycolic acid solution and lactic acid at night every second day. After using these products and also after using azelaic acid and benzylperoxide which i have been using for long time, i am finding my skin gets very inflammed looking/ raw and red. Can you please recommend acne safe product that would help with redness and raw feeling like skin after using this product. Thanks alot

I am finding that my acne is worse when I use any acne specific topicals on a daily basis. So you using two different acids on a daily basis PLUS cycling two others every second day… I think your skin barrier is really stripped and your skin doesn’t have time to recover between the constant skin renewal it’s doing when slapped with the acids repeatedly. I’d put everything on pause and just focus on barrier healing for like a week.

I just bought this acne soap from Clinique for my acne but it has also 2% salicylic acid 🤦🏻‍♀️ but now I’m afraid.

Can I use willow bark in my facial cleanser?

I purchased this before I found out I was pregnant & found out it isn’t safe due to it having ibuprofen as an ingredient.

Are tyrosinase inhibitors such as alpha arbutin, kojic acid, licorice root, Thiamidol (Eucerin patent product) to improve post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation from acne safe in pregnancy and breastfeeding? Also, is snail mucin safe in pregnancy and breastfeeding?

Hydroquinone and arbutin should not be used during BF everything else is pretty much a go. Hydroquinone, arbutin and retinoids avoid during pregnancy

I'm pregnant with my third baby. 11weeks as of today, my body is breaking out bad. Especially my chest and back..what can I use on my body that is safe? I'm having a hard time finding videos on full body products that are safe that treats acne...my dermatologist is booked up for the whole month😭...I leave for the beach in two weeks...

How come the derms never have acne during pregnancy themselves 😭😭😭

When i search to google what i need avoid during pregnancy number 1 is BENZOYL PEROXIDE. but you saying its safe? Who can we believe? Pls. Answer my question. Cause i buy many cerave acne foaming cleanser 😅

She said that she recommends to use only as cleanser because of the low likelihood of absorption!

@@ilymaleeActually, she mentioned to use a cleanser because of less irritation in the skin. However, facewash BP didn’t do anything for me, and BP lotion left on overnight helps!

How come my derma prescribed tretinoin 0.05% for me knowing that am pregnant 😭😭😭
