Hi! Welcome to Maelove.
Today we address a topic that many of you have inquired about - which is how to treat acne during pregnancy and what you can and can’t use.
In terms of what you can use, these are the four non-prescription, topically applied ingredients that the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommend:
Salicylic Acid
Glycolic Acid
Azelaic acid
Benzoyl peroxide
There are some caveats here, with topical salicylic acid considered pregnancy safe up to 2% concentration, and some dermatologists and OB/Gyns lean more cautious about benzoyl peroxide and recommend against using benzoyl peroxide during pregnancy.
At Maelove, we recommend 3 ingredients for treating acne during pregnancy:
Azelaic Acid, Salicylic Acid and Glycolic Acid.
If you’re new here, My name is Jackie and I’m the CEO and Chief Product Obsessor at Maelove.

Are the Maelove night renewer cream formulated and resurfacing serum formulated with less than 10 percent glycolic acid?

Yes. Night Renewer has 10% glycolic acid and Super Smooth is a gentle blend of lactic, tartaric, glycolic (under 10%) and salicylic (under 2%).
