I was confused for the longest time about the involvement of the Princess and the Frog characters in RR, but I watched the movie again yesterday. Turns out that Naveen is a Riviera-inspired prince, his country is a fantasy Monaco-like kingdom or something. He has a french-italian accent and is fluent in french... The more you know!

the Princess and the Frog and the Moana inclusions are because of Louisiana's french roots and Moana is technically not hawaiian but French Polynesian so umm pretty disappointed by the rude comments and snide remarks. I think riviera is one of the most gorgeous disney resorts

It's mainly a Dvc resort so I'm sure room rates with cash is alot

I"ve stayed here a few times....and love the resort. I love the bathrooms and bedrooms. I will agree with Tom on the MAIN room design. I don't like the appointments , wish there was a lamp lighting component like Grand F. and also, it feels a bit , "cheap" in its appointments, carpet, the blue sofa, (very thin and squeaks when you sit on it_NOT comfortable). I think. the kitchen looks a bit cheap in materials...so overall yes, this is nice but should be nicer in the living room....in terms of design, appointments and quality of materials used.......maybe they will address it next time at refurb. The carpet should be a lush wool rug......and larger, of high quality.....and there should be high quality lamps in there on solid wood side tables.....with light bulbs that are NOT the cheap fluorescent energy saving bulbs...all of those things make a difference. The sofa and coffee table need to be replaced with higher end and quality ones.
