Predicting the Cleveland Browns Record in 2024

Спорт

BUY STICKERS SUPPORT THE PAGE! : optimisticfanclub.com/
Last year, I predicted that the Cleveland Browns would go 12-5, and I was almost exactly correct, however, 11-6 was better than most expected anyways.
However, in 2024, what will the Cleveland Browns record be?
The NFL schedule has officially been released, and today we're going to go through every game of the Cleveland Browns and predict the final score and overall record for the 2024 season.
The Browns have the second hardest strength of schedule in the NFL this year, but I believe that Cleveland has a chance to be even better than they were last season.
With the return of Nick Chubb, and a fully healthy Deshaun Watson, Ken Dorsey (The Browns new OC) will have a lot to work with.
Additionally, the team has improved drastically on the defensive side of the ball over the past year, yet, the media still has the Browns finishing last in the division.
I truly believe that if the Browns are ever going to win the AFC North, this is the year it could happen, but I want to know what you guys think, so drop it in the comments!

It's extremely difficult to project the Browns or anyone in their division in 2024 because all the teams are so good. It will likely come down to injuries, as the NFL always does.

My grandfather just to say "between what I can and want to do there would always be what I managed to accomplish". It's very difficult to predict NFL seasons for any team. There are so many unknowns... potential injuries to key players, suspensions, contract disputes, etc... I would say the Browns will definitely compete, but it may just come down to one of these unknown factors that determines who wins the AFC North.

My man I subscribed because you sound like what I’ve said last yr and this one. Everyone is overlooking the fact that this isn’t the same team from last yr, it’s loaded with quality depth on both sides of the ball. Having Winston and DTR with more time under his belt solidified the qb position, the depth at rb gives us juice to wear down D which allows Njoku to go crazy late in second halves! I had us at 11-6 last yr, this yr I think 13-4 is very doable because winning builds confidence, and if Watson finds his forreal, man they may as well hand the Browns the trophy, and they’ll repeat as champs because the team is deep now, coaching and GM is rock solid! If Dorsey is solid we now have the dynasty reborn. I’m really feeling the Browns are just at the edge of brilliant run, I would’ve liked to see Bell let go and Renfro signed just for this season as a possession receiver, if not him then bring back Jarvis Landry, unless Tillman and Matt Landers can get on track, really would love to see Landers with his height. Let me say this about Watson, his line wasn’t healthy, he didn’t have Chubb, wideouts were new and some rookies, yet he managed to be 5-0, that’s from a guy who had been gone two yrs, came back for six games in bad weather and went 3-3, his next season was last yr, he had finally got to have a full training camp, his first one, and despite a bad Oline and no Chubb, he was 5-0 prior to season ending injury, this is only his second full training camp with the Browns, everything’s been upgraded, if the Oline stays healthy and this guy gets time to throw the offense will average 33.6 points per game, and the Defense allowing an average of 20.9 pts per game, it all translates to us being in the AFCCG, and if that happens, the way this team is now, and having gone through the Texans let down, this team will deliver a dominating performance, and sports media with be all on the Dawg Bone! DraftKings will have Cleveland as a 3-1 favorite to win their Super Bowl match up Philly, the season rematch, and Cleveland will blow Philly out, because Jalen gets hurt early, and Donta Foreman will run for 245yds (Chubb was lost for the season in the Chiefs game! Hunt will be resigned). This season is the one that made city hall build a dome stadium on the lakefront in downtown Cleveland!…(sorry Brookpark, I know you thought y’all had it, but the Browns played to stay in Cleveland!)

i had em at 11-6/12-5 last year, which was spot on. I have them at 12-4-1/13-4 this year. I know, a tie wtf. I just have a feeling. I really believe that year 2 in schwartz’s system is gonna be even better this season. He will be able to open things up and add some schemes no one saw last year. I love Jeudy and the story with him being here with Coop. He’s gonna have a season. He will push Coop and Coop will push him. I also know Tillmans gonna take a huge step and really b a force in the red zone. I also think Thrash is gonna be absolutely explosive and have himself a year too. I loved him in the draft, and can’t believe he fell to Cleveland. He’s a special special player and we will see it this year. Jones will continue to dominate, being even better this year and solidifying his spot as this lines future anchor. Chubb and Foreman will be fantastic 1/2 punch, and will have a lot of room with the pass game being as explosive as it will be. That leads me to DW. I’ve said it would take 10ish games since day 1. That’s where it was when he started playing really well last year. DW will pick up where he left off and we will see the guy they traded for

11-6 with the potential for 12-5 is what I’m predicting just because this schedule is BRUTAL. We really really need a fast start, I would love to predict an AFC North championship but our division is just absolutely stacked. Overall extremely excited for this team & staff, and I believe in DW4. I also love the media bashing/sleeping on us again. Keep that us against the world mentality again this year. #OptimisticBrownsClub I also don’t think we need Texans level DW4 to compete for a SB. He doesn’t need to play hero ball like he did there, he’s surrounded by legit elite talents. I think he needs to be top 8ish, but doesn’t need to be the MVP of the league. Some of our fans just weirdly hate him, and forever will no matter what.

good points, and absolutely, people forget that DW4 had to carry his team a lot of the time, especially the year everyone likes to reference - Those texans weren't a playoff contender, not even close. Great analysis. You're one of the best up an coming KZreadrs at this. Keep it up. My biggest question mark is whether or not Dorsey brings a better system than Kevin. I have bad memories of when the Browns brought in Todd Monken and the blend of Kitchens/Monken offense was terrible. No identify and muddy. Watson isn't a crisp QB. He prefers a loose backyard style of play. When flacco came in and ran Kevin's offense it looked totally different than when Watson ran it and they put up a lot of points. However, flaccos gun slinger and sometimes careless ways ended up shooting the team in the foot. It doesn't seem like Deahaun can masterfully run the west coast / play action / inside/outside zone offense that Kevin dials up skillfully. Will Dorsey make things click for Watson or will it be a muddy mess? It's gonna be interesting. The Monken era gives me similar feelings to this year.

The problem with Watson, even when healthy last year, just simply didn’t see so many of his wide open options. He either ended up settling for the wrong or more difficult option, or just bailed and ran. Flacco off the couch did well seeing his options and reading the defense. Watson struggles with his options and reading the defense. I’m not optimistic in him making the necessary strides in either area. We only go as far as his progression

Apparently our defense will suddenly let anyone with a half way competent offense score 30 on us. Apparently Watson(who’s shown to be able to keep the ball out of opponents hands) will not be able to close out games against good teams. The chargers have no one to throw the ball to and have 2 nobodies at rb. The Chiefs have no one to throw the ball to besides an old Kelce. • @joericottone

wow, that's quite the analysis you shared - so the browns are going undefeated? and if you were paying attention, you would have heard me say the dolphins advantage comes with crossing routes, deep overs etc with Waddle and Tyreek Hill. Denzel Ward is the only DB on the Browns with the speed to match. Also, google the 49ers the year before and the year after hiring Jim Harbaugh. Look at who their receivers were. The Chiefs have Pat Mahomes, they also have a very good defense and a great run game. And what I'm saying about rust is applied to consistency and hitting the lay ups. Watson was not consistent until the second half of the Baltimore game. He still had flashes of exceptional playmaking and accuracy, but he struggled with the easy stuff. Now he's coming off of surgery from his throwing shoulder. I'd watch more of my videos before you say the page sucks, I was the only one who called this team doing as well as they did and there is a catalogue of videos to prove it

@@joericottone not undefeated. Like I said I’m not even mad that you have us losing to a team like Philly or Baltimore it’s the way you say we lose. I have us the favorite in every matchup due to the strength of this defense and the new offense that centers Watsons skill set. 14-3 is my record prediction. The issue comes in when you basically say good team = browns loss and the only good teams we beat are in division, so in your mind we’re frauds. The defenses road issues mostly stemmed from the offensive turnovers more than them being bad on the road. There were some games like SEA and LAR that we absolutely threw away but again turnovers in those didn’t help the defense whatsoever. As far as Watson, he did good in an archaic offense that didn’t move to his skill set. We had him playing in someone completely foreign to how he played in college and in Houston of course he wouldn’t look that good but he somehow made it work when it mattered that’s not a rust problem that was a fit problem and they addressed that this offseason

@@joericottone I have a real answer and then a speculative answer, I'll give you the latter... his agent is extremely protective over the business of his clients... if you see him leave his agent, I will retract my position. Circumstances have not improved with Tee and the franchise over the course of being tagged, not even by a percentage. Don't forget how his agent has handled this with his other clients in similar positions... Jesse Bates, Deshaun, etc. Tee's holdout is much different from that of someone like Amari who remains in contact with the Browns FO. Ultimately Tee may still play for the Bengals this year due to their position on player holdouts, but the FO is hanging by a thread with a disgruntled roster and some of their most important positions have had injuries the past few seasons. I wouldn't be surprised if players start to play it safe with their bodies this season given the FO's inability to get with the times on contract structure. It's in the Bengals' best interest to get with it on these contracts because I think they are doing much more damage to themselves in the long run by sending these messages to free agents. We saw free agents this past offseason going to dinner with Joey B and leaving without deals, and I'm sure it's not because of Joey.
