Known for its PikeMasters program, Canal Outdoor is producing a new program format called PredatorMasters. The program catches perch, zander and pike in three different watersheds. The five longest fish are taken into account in the results.
There are six episodes and four teams: Lowrance, Garmin, Ruoto and NorthSilver-Mercury. Each team has two competitors.
In addition to exciting race fishing, there will be tips on fishing techniques and the latest gear. It is a demanding form of competition, as teams have to manage several different forms of fishing and different waters.
In the first two seasons, perch will be fished in Saimaa in September. The base is Taipalsaari Karhupirtit, a cottage village by the famous perch waters.
In the third and fourth sections, pike are fished in Kivijärvi, Lemi, which is one of the most famous pike lakes in northeastern Finland. Episodes five and six are filmed at sea in the Pellinki archipelago in November, when pike are fished.
