Mountain Lions Fight Deadly Predators In A Battle For Survival | Wild Habitat

When the resident male is killed by hunters, one of the young mountain lions gains control. We follow him as he defines his territory and hunts the deer herd, all while learning what it means to be an adult male. The Lions of the Americas go by many names, from mountain lions, cougars to pumas and panthers. These fearsome creatures are agile in nature but are mostly solitary animals. What threats do mountain lions face?

Why didn't the camera man tell them where the lion 🦁 is instead of telling the dog to find the lion ♌

I must say that this isn't hunting this is slaughtering. You have one animal being chase buy three other animals and then the two-legged animal with the gun kills and takes the trophy home. What if it was a female mountain lion hunting for her Cubs they just ended the life's of two babies and the Mother way to go Yo!.

What a joke this is … that hunting wow really challenging. You guys are so brave send your dogs out. They chased it up a tree and you shoot it out wow, what brave ‘men’ you are…. It be more challenging, taking out the garbage on a Tuesday night than what these bozos are doing.

Saying Cougars don't scavenge is a blatant lie! There has been undeniable proof they do. Including scavenging on hikers that died on a trail

The footage of the cat supposedly running away from the hounds was a big tom. The cat they shot was not the same individual...creative editing...nice try. Humans have hunted with dogs for thousands of years. This is nothing new. Hunting lions with dogs is the only real effective means to harvest lions. These hunts are highly regulated to ensure populations remain healthy and sustainable. Recreational hunting generates revenue for the state/province that directly funds the continued conservation and management of that resource. Recreational/subsistence hunting (yes, people eat lion meat...it tastes like pork) imparts a transactional value to the resource which provides an incentive to always maintain healthy lion populations. Without some level of recreational/subsistence hunting, authorities just end up killing lions anyway due to human/livestock conflicts when the populations become too dense...and yes, they use dogs. The sad part is, they just leave the lion to rot, where a recreational/subsistance hunter is legally required to process the meat for consumption. The editing doesn't show the miles these guys actually hiked up and down steep mountains in deep snow chasing a pack of dogs on a lion track...again creative editing to twist the narrative.

There is no reason to hunt mountain lions they are intrical to the ecosystem quite different from ferrell pigs which are an invasive species. The mountain lion is a beautiful animal there hunting is unnecessary and shamefull.
