Very nice story. It's sad to realize that Julie has abandoned Emile due to autism even though she was trying to be nice to him. However, in the end, she decided to live on with regular students and not even comfort those who were bullied. If I was Julie I would tell the teacher the truth and help that kid. IRL, I wish I took a stand against one of my classmate's one-on-one teacher. She was verbally abusing him, calling him stupid numerous times. I felt bad for him, no teachers or staff should be doing that to students. If I could turn back time, I'd tell her to stop saying that because it's not nice or professional. Your story reminded me of why it is very important for all of us to treat all students no matter their learning or physical disabilities. Emile should've been treated better, whether at a regular school or special class. As a person who was also diagnosed with autism, I can understand the pain and the pressure at a new environment. And it's a shame that no students are standing up to do the right thing to help others in need. Despite some explicit content, teachers should let students watch this as an example of why all students should be fairly respected as gifted intelligent smart star students.
