Ive been inspired. Im making a low budget one now in my shed. Using scrap pieces and hinges for the frame and a clothes iron for heat. Most irons peak at 210°c have a built in thermostat and cost about R200 here, hope it works.

And here I've been watching people put HDPE in toaster ovens.. planning and plotting for the future. Now that I've moved I'm saving up all the plastic my household produces. Finding out what is what is the hardest part. Not all lids have the recycling symbol. I'm finding 1, 2, and 4's mainly. Still trying to find out what soda bottle caps are made of. Back in CA we recycled everything and got paid for it. Here in North Carolina people just throw their plastic into recycling bins.. I could easily pay a small fee like you have shown and have no competitors. I figure I'll start chipping up my plastic with a blender for now and build a oven press, which by the way is SO much better than anything else I've seen! Other peoples processes leaves voids in the materials. I just wanted to ramble and say Thank you!

Now I have a reason to build the shredder in your video I watched yesterday. I will then make this. I likely will make the frame somewhat stronger to accommodate a small hydraulic cylinder to push the plastic, but It will just have the pull handle to start with and see if I can get reasonable plastic quality. I sure throw out a lot of plastic,.. I see now, that i may be collecting it, and that certainly is a great thing for our Mother Earth. EDIT: Had on mind, did not post,.. I never heard of extruded steel pipe, very well could be, I certainly do purchase a lot of steel though, and here in USA we have DOM pipe (drawn over mandrill) and that will work fine for the barrel.
