as a 17 year-old Italian Brooklyn kid, i went to the UHOP in Harlem to hear the music. a man asked me why i was there and i said "for the music" and he welcomed me with a big smile. i asked him if he was Daddy Grace and he told me "he's gone on, i'm Bishop McCollough". a very cherished memory for me, now 80 years old.

Baptized me as a baby. Was larger than life. I remember him as a kind man of God and gentle giant. I was so crushed when he went on to Glory. I'm no longer a member of UHOP but seeing this reminds me of my roots that will forever be in my heart. Thank you SDM for being a beacon that still shines in my life.

I am truly moved by this video. There is such an anointing on this man. I don’t believe that the people are actually worshipping the Bishop. I don’t believe he is seeking adoration for himself. He is being used by God to minister to the people. My wife grew up in Georgia and attended services when she was a child. His ministry brought her into a relationship with God that has been part of her life since. And her relationship with God drew me closer to Him as well. God will use any person and any means He chooses to reach us.

As a 41 year old raised pentecostal christian ... I have found this church and its teaching ridiculous!!! However this Bishop right here is the ONLY Bishop I would LOVE to see! It's something special and different about him compared to the ones before and after him!! He truly had the OIL! And I believe his teachings were use for the right and for God.... IDC...IDC... I really feel he loved and honored the true and living God regardless of the cult teachings

I promise I feel the same about this man! And for me to feel the anointing whenever he speaks or gives praises to the master speaks volumes! For I do not believe in none of the HOUSE OF PRAYER doctoring at all!!!! But it's something different with this Bishop or " "DADDY" and I don't get feeling he is stuck in the CULT TEACHINGS!

As a former HOP member I could say that McCollough cared about us after him things changed& the spirit was elevated so high that nobody could feel it now. I am glad I got mine back then. As a member and also a former member of the McCollough Invaders, I encourage you to upload as many video of Precious Daddy as you can find. As one who grew up under him in the 1960's and 70's, he was larger than life itself to me, especially as a kid. He was the major spirit of GOD walking the earth. It is imperative that those who were born after his passing know that those under his generation revered him. I hope the family does a history from start to finish on his life-a biography so to speak. Complete with all the video of him they can find. For my generation coming up, he was MY bishop because he was the only one I knew. Thank you for the upload and please upload more. Like we said at his funeral in New Haven, CT; never forget Daddy.

I was a member from 1988 to 1991. To me, he was larger than life, and still is. I have a problem with Ministers, Reverends or whatever else they call themselves these days Turing what we and others have been drilled on for 60 or 70 years and suddenly they've turned 360 on everything they swore would send all of us to hell. Today, preachers don't follow principals, no matter what the organization. They follow skin color of men or whoever presides as their messiah in what is now Liberalism-THE NEW SECULAR RELIGION of anyone who has dark skin. As though skin color can save someone. But I have issues with Preachers who now support the garbage under this political administration that they themselves claimed was SINFUL and poison. All of a sudden, what use to send us to hell is now ok-claiming civil rights as a screen to cover up their hypocrisy and greed for notoriety and money. They support and VOTE for the very people who go against EVERY single order and principal of basic Christianity. And they wonder why churches are under attack? If I had just arrived from another planet, I'd swear that The false political messiahs created the world instead of God. Funny how only a handful of REAL preachers still speak out and slam those who slam God. So yeah, I can see why most people wouldn't waste their time in a church. Ministers always say one thing for 80 years and then turn around and jump ship when some guy in suit claiming change comes along. We never learn-we're always the gullible.

That's nothing new to me because I've always known that. Problem is, so-called Christians of this new century have diluted the worship of the spirit of God and equated that with worshipping any public-political figure with black skin. Who by the way, have legislated and instituted all kind of disgusting perversion into our schools, and churches, which are the opposite of what their so-called god is suppose to hate. The churches of today have become as pullulated as the churches back in the days of Ezra-if I'm not mistaken. COLOR worship of political people sitting in some office is now the NEW god of this empty, air brained generation. As long as its POPULAR, that's all that matters. Go with the flow and do as the Romans do when in Rome. Now its all about PANDERING to all minority groups in order to buy and solicit votes so they can stay in power to continue to lead this brainless-non thinking generation as far apart from God as they can. Why? because these people HATE the fact that people worship God-they want us to worship THEM That's what this whole switch and bait tactic Satan is using is all about. He's jealous and these lefties are his soldiers and have the same envious nature he has instilled in them. That's what all this Secular garbage is about. Replacing the real Judean God with a fake one made up by man-who got his lead from Satan himself. Everyone want to fall for the poison kool-aide, go right ahead. But I don't need to be a fool and follow a bunch of idiots to hell when I can choose my own path to get there. As long as I don't have to share the same section as these COWARD so-called REVERENDS and ministers who don't have half the guts to say what I just did because they've sold their sold for a little money and notoriety on this earth.

I love the HOP with everything in my soul. I will defend until the day I die. I was born in 89, been in the HOP my entire life. Ive sat here and read most of these disturbing comments. Whenever there is something good going, why you people want is to be bad SOOO BAD? Why you so judgemental? Who told you our teaching are wrong? Who made yall judges? Hiding behind a computer creating lies and negative opinions, and would not dare step to UHOP members face. I was taught (unlike some you) by Daddy Madison be humble to your enemies(judging others faith and teachings is not the Christian way)He said do not cause harm to people when they talk bad about the HOP. Because me I wish fight you with no hesitation. You dont have to understand it, but you will respect it. I just couldnt sit here and read all this and not say anything. And some of you on here running off at the mouth before you want to judge others about their faith, teachings, or religion how about you get down on your knees, close your eyes, AND PRAY THAT THE LORD BLESS YOU WITH SPELLING, GRAMMAR, & TYPING COMPLETE SENTENCES BEFORE TELLING PEOPLE THEYRE GOING TO HELL. For those seeking understanding about the uhop and our leaders (like Daddy McCollough), here is just a very little info. We believe God has one house of worship (Deuteronomy 12:13-14, Isaiah 56:6-7, Matthew 21:13). Many say those scriptures are not to be taken literally, but we reserve the right to accept it as God and Jesus said it. I have no condemnation for those in other places of worship because Jesus didn't (Luke 9:49-50), but I believe God intended His children to worship in one place, and I believe he named it. Our leaders are carrying on the biblical tradition of God's prophets being spiritual fathers to God's people (2 Kings 2:2-15). Many think this stopped with Jesus, but Paul declared that he had became the father of the believers in Corinth (1 Corinthians 4:14-16). He told them to follow him. Not because he was greater than Jesus, but because Jesus had fulfilled His purpose, and finished His work (John 17:4-5). We esteem our leaders high just as they esteemed Peter and Paul (Acts 5:15 and Galatians 4:14-15). This is not for those seeking an argument, but many people are trying to understand this faith. There is far too much info to narrow it down to this comments section, but I hope it helps. Peace to everyone. (P.S. All members of the UHOP, let's conduct ourselves with the dignity and spiritual nature we have been taught. Not judging anyone, because none of us should be addressing this on the internet, but if we are, let's represent ourselves well. Peace, again.)

The verses you've mentioned have been taken outside of their proper context to mean something they have never meant by UHOP doctrine. *_Dueteronomy _**_12:13_**_-14_* has nothing to do with the UHOP that is established within America yet has everything to do with the temple that was established under the 1st Covenant (Old Testament); Pre-70AD and tithing. Isaiah 56:7 has nothing to do with the name of the temple, but rather the purpose of the temple. The word *CALLED* in the verse _"My house shall be _*_CALLED_*_ an house of prayer for all people"_ has nothing to do with the name on the side of the building or temple or the name of the building; however, the word *CALLED* refers to the *PURPOSE* of the people within the temple as they fulfill out the will of God through constant seeking of GOD through prayer; for there are many proper things that proceed from and through a proper *Prayerful* relationship with God. *Matthew **21:13* refers to the same thing. Jesus was not referring to the name of the building or temple. Jesus was not angry that the people were placing graffiti on the name "House of Prayer" nor was he angry because they were changing the letters around. He was upset at the lack of *PURPOSE* being shown within the temple; that was the intention of the temple to bring forth a close relationship with God through a prayerful lifestyle that produces fruits of holiness and righteousness. While I am pleased to see the reference made to *Luke **9:49**-50* I want to make it clear that there is no partiality with God concerning location as long as the heart is pure. The temple is no longer a factor. To believe that it is, is a sign of biblical illiteracy. (No Insult Intended).

Very quickly. There is no lack of understanding of the difference btw the words called and named. We all know that the great basketball player was "Named" Michael Jordan, but he is sometimes "Called" Air Jordan. Called just means that's how ppl refer to you. The easiest way to be referred to or "Called" a certain title is to use that name. I know of no other place of worship "regularly" referred to as "an House of Prayer" (Isaiah 56:6-7 and Matt. 21:13). Also, the bible uses "shall be called" when something is being named. For example, in Genesis 2:25, Adam declares that the female species "shall be called woman", and to this day that has not changed. A few other examples (Gen. 32:38, Isaiah 9:6, Matt. 5:9...). To your point that "the location" of worship does not matter, I cannot find scripture to support that. Even until the last days, God will have a house for us to gather and worship (Isaiah 2:2-3). Thanks for the well thought out response. Peace

Yes, there is still a lack of understanding between UHOP understanding of Isaiah 56:7 and Jesus' understanding of Isaiah 56:7. The clarification is within the very verse you cite of Matthew 21:13 where Jesus states, _"It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; _*_but ye have made it a den of thieves."_*_ Notice the part where Jesus declares, _*_"...but ye have made it a den of thieves."_*_; the context of Jesus' own words is making it very clear that the intention of Isaiah 56:7 was not to place emphasis on the _*_Name_*_ of the temple but _*_The Purpose_*_ of the building, i.e., Jesus is saying in laymen's terms, _"This temple was intended for prayer and the good fruit that comes from prayer, but instead you all have used this place for something that my Father had never intended, whereby, you steal, lie, covet and produce terrible fruit"._ Indeed it is true, that while the temple had many different names _(House of Sacrifice, Temple, House of Prayer, Permanent Tabernacle, Zion, Holy Place, etc.)_ your understanding and the UHOP's understanding of Isaiah 56:7 does not match with what Jesus/God intended through Isaiah 56:7. Finally, the UHOP's understanding of *Isaiah 2:2-3* has been misapplied and misunderstood since 1919. The house of Jacob is not referring to the physical temple but to Jesus himself building a temple *"Not Made With Hands"*. The temple was only as necessary as the 1st Covenant and the Law under the 1st Covenant *_(This is what Hebrews chapters 8, 9, and 10 explain)_*. Nevertheless, when the UHOP refers to *Isaiah 2:2-3* you refer back to *Genesis **28:10**-22* where Jacob is given a vision in a dream where he sees a ladder descending from heaven to earth with angels ascending and descending it. This very image of the *ladder* is what Jacob refers to as the *House of God* and *The Gate of Heaven*. That *ladder* was a vision of the coming Messiah who would be the *Mediator/Ladder* between God and Man. Jesus confirms this in John 1:51. Both *Isaiah 2:2-3* and *Genesis **28:10**-22* all refer to Jesus being that place or that House where all must come to and through for true worship. This is what Jesus meant in *John **4:21* - _Jesus saith unto her, woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, *NOR Yet At Jerusalem*, worship the Father. Jerusalem was the place of the true temples location. When the UHOP supports the need for temple in order to be fully reconciled back unto God, they unknowingly are stating that outside the building Jesus is not enough; According to the basis of teachings within the UHOP Jesus is only part of the way, part of the truth and part of the life. The other part is the UHOP. Of course this is incorrect teaching and it needs to be corrected.

Thanks for keeping me up on my bible study skills. Lol. This could go on forever. The scripture refers to the church in the house several times in the Pauline epistles. It is not speaking of the body of Jesus, but a natural place where they were worshiping (Philemon 1:2, Colossians 4:15, 1 Cor. 16:19....). We are taught to assemble (Hebrews 10:25). I'm sure you have a rebuttal, and I have enjoyed the biblical interaction, but since I think this could take forever to conclude in this format, I'm gonna pray we both live as God sees fit.

  • @ekco05

If I were concerned about how long this conversation could be I would have never responded to your comment. Nevertheless, I must implore you to consider the context of the verses you cite in reference to the UHOP doctrine and interpretation of scripture. For instance you make reference to *Philemon 1:2, Colossians **4:15**, and 1 Corinthians **16:19*. which supports my position that there is no one place or *specific name* where the Body of Christ was supposed to assemble. The verses you provided actually argue against UHOP doctrine because these verses substantiate that *Church Members* _(God's only temple which is greater than the temple made of brick and mortar ...._*_Hebrews 8:1-3_*_)_ gathered at there own locations which evidently was not the temple _(called house of prayer)_ which was still located in Jerusalem until 70AD. In proper context, none of these houses were *The Temple* per UHOP's understanding of *Isaiah 56:7.* It is good that you will pray, because as of right now, the doctrine that you support does not give Jesus Christ the honor that the Holy Spirit revealed to his Apostles and Prophets in the 1st Century. To be quite honest it takes away from Jesus' honor.

I was Baptist under Bishop Daddy McCollough in the late 1960's and witnessed his tenure at UHOP/West Baltimore at the old West Preston Street House. It was a joyous time as a young child coming up in the HOP. Like many other traditional Black churches, worship took place everyday. Then there was Sunday School and Sunday Service. When the Bishop makes his annual rounds to the Houses around the Nation, it's called Convocation. Let me tell you, WE GET IT IN, IN THE NAME OF THE ALL MIGHTY JESUS CHRIST. In other words, the Tradition is sacred in Christ. PERIOD! No matter who's at the helm, "The Tradition" is unmistakable. That's all you really need to know about the UHOP. If you were never a part of it or ever involved, you should be the last person to criticize, especially our tradition. My blood line is the Mobley's and we originated in Winnsboro SC and came up through Baltimore MD. Yes, that's us and we are UHOP/West Baltimore. Yes... God bless you.

Hiding behind a computer creating lies and negative opinions, and would not dare step to UHOP members face. Because if you come to me I will fight you with no hesitation. Product or Brand. I attended a service at UHOPFAP, here in Los Angeles back in I think the 90's. As a Born Again Christian, I was absolutely appalled, when they removed the name of 'Jesus' from well known church hymns/songs.....and replaced it with 'Daddy'! This service was one of their annual convocations; and I was invited to go by a friend who told me I had to see it for myself; because I just couldn't believe what she told me she witnessed there; about removing the name of Jesus. Well I went with a friend; and it was the truth. Their sister churches from all over the country was there for this convocation.....and they brought money. They had one of the baddest brass bands I have ever had the pleasure of hearing in my life. It was at least 50 pieces....and man....could they play! I prayed in the Name of Jesus before I went inside that church.....and I prayed in the precious Name of Jesus the whole time I was in there. There was great alarm within my spirit. After each person representing the sister churches presented Sweet Daddy McCullough with their very thick offering envelope which he dropped into a gold bucket....he commenced to preaching, telling the congregation.....'THAT HE WAS THEIR GOD'!!! I could not believe my ears! It got worse, when he tried to quote a scripture....couldn't quite get it right; and proceeded to ask somebody to please go find him a Bible!!! They couldn't find a Bible! They didn't even have a copy in their pulpit!! A lady sitting close to me, got happy with some kind of spirit (not the Holy Spirit); and started gyrating all over, screaming....'Oh Daddy! Oh Daddy! Oh Daddy!' That alarm bell inside of me starting ringing. When he asked the women of the church to bring their babies and children to the front for him to bless and lay hands on them.....That alarm bell started ringing so loud within my spirit, that I just knew the whole place could here it! I got out of there.....and NEVER WENT BACK!!! I have never forgotten not one detail about my experience at that place...and I never will!! THAT WAS NOT OF THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE AND LIVING GOD!!

1 Timothy 2:1- 8 Amplified Bible A Call to Prayer 2 First of all, then, I urge that petitions (specific requests), prayers, intercessions (prayers for others) and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all people, 2 for [a]kings and all who are in [positions of] high authority, so that we may live a peaceful and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 3 This [kind of praying] is good and acceptable and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who [b]wishes all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge and recognition of the [divine] truth. 5 For there is [only] one God, and [only] one Mediator between God and mankind, the Man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself as a ransom [a substitutionary sacrifice to atone] for all, the testimony given at the right and proper time. 7 And for this matter I was appointed a preacher and an apostle-I am telling the truth, I am not lying [when I say this]-a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth. 8 Therefore I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without anger and disputing or quarreling or doubt [in their mind].
