In a two-day shutdown on the Emerald to Clermont rail line in Central Queensland, VEC installed a complete precast concrete culvert solution supplied by Humes. During two 10-hour shifts, the existing timber bridge was removed and replaced by a precast concrete bridge comprised of 26 prefabricated units including base slabs, wing walls with aprons, external RBCB units, internal RCBC units and cut-off walls.
