This is a time lapse video of a precast concrete box culvert that we recently installed. There is over an hours worth of footage crammed into a five and a half minute video. Crane Time Lapse

    The first truck that left was getting after it on the regular speed footage. I think it left the site in 6th gear and was winning the race. Lol. Thanks for watching! 🙂

    Love time lapse, particularly with perfect music! But, time lapse glosses over the hours of careful planning and prep that goes into making lifts like yours look smooth and easy. Strong work, Jimmy.

    I'm guessing that the projecting rebar means there will be some additional concrete work to provide flares at the ends of the culvert. Also found it curious that they only added sealant at the top of the joint. Still, job well done overall.

    It does indeed. There will be poured in place wing walls. While I was swung around to get the next piece, they put sealant on the mating surface of the piece in the ditch. Many thanks for watching! 🙂

    I apologize i am passionate about job site safety as operator and former contractor i was injured in a jobsite accident. Cost me several yrs of rehabilitation just to get back to good physical condition to work

    They did use pumps when they poured the footing. When we were setting the pieces on the footing, the water was just running through on top of the footing. Thanks for watching! 🙂

    It is interesting how there was a slab there. Do you know how think the slab was? and how they attached the culvert to the slab?

    that looked like a slab, could have been compacted stone dust or something though.

    Is was a slab put in place by the contractor. It is much easier to assemble the pieces on a flat surface. I'm not sure of the thickness. I'm also not sure how the pieces are anchored, if at all. I do know there will be poured in place wing walls on each end of the culvert. I may run by the jobsite this week and record some after footage. Many thanks for watching! 🙂

    Thumb hit the wrong thing those two unions from Seattle and Alaska merged with 370 and now the Initiation fee went from like 350 360 bucks to 930 dollars is what it is right

    All the safety training union hands go thru and this crap happens it is uncalled for i was injured in a crane accident in 06 it caused me to be disabled but only thru Christ can i get back to work in the union just this year thus my anger in this unfortunate accident

    ave has his initial analysis up... looks like the pins were all pulled ahead of disassembly rather then as each section was lifted... twas just held together by gravity...
