Dawg. It's so simple. I know many successful pre-order brands. All you gotta do is communicate with your customers. They already know how long it's gonna take before they even buy it. So they expecting it to be 2-3 weeks. 3-4 weeks. Just communicate with your customers is the summary of pre-order.

Pretty much! Most clients I worked with get nervous with this business model though, they are afraid of not attracting customers. What I say is, depending on what the product is, designate if it should be either MTO or Pre-Made; there's benefits in both but I think it heavily depends on the product 😊

It sounds like a combination of both would work. Start small with about 30-50 pc pre-made, then if they are selling switch those items over to preorder.

My FIRST drop was pre order, and it went solid BUT I had difficulty paying the manufacturer because of banking and transfer issues, since then I was turnt off from pre order. Since then all my drops have been PRE MADE. And at first the quality took a hit, but as I learned more on how to improve quality with pre made, it has been very consistent and has worked well. BUT I do plan on mixing in some pre ordered drops to have variety of high quality items and simple pieces to have on hand.

For me I’m premade all the way. Whenever you meet a influencer etc you have it on you. Customer can get it quicker as well.

Pre made becasue you always got product on hand and plus you can always do pop up events

You need to discuss the issue with shopify/stripe holding your money because of chargeback. It’s affecting a lot of small businesses doing the preorder method.

I think both work, but it also depends on the product being sold. A simple design or style I think should be Pre-Made, and more intricate with more design details (and imo more costly to make, and more labor involved) should be MTO (made-to-order).. awesome video and thanks for sharing!! Is giving me inspiration in breaking down different business models based on how rhe product is made 🤔🧐

My category is very niche. I’m going premade because I’m really nervous about the quality of the product coming in. I want everything to be just right. When I go into more colorways I may preorder them because many customers are familiar with the style already.

We have embroidery machines and a screenprint machine so PRE MADE works the best for us ! Now when it comes to more unique products we’ll do the Pre Order method. Overall we like having inventory at all times, You never know when an opportunity to comes. • Strategize Xecute Teach•

But the part about it getting stuck in customs is valid. But I feel most people don’t have the demand so they need to have it already to build trust. Having to get refunded doesn’t build the trust IF that happens yk?

I'm a fan of the pre-order Tez but i;ve got a question. Most suppliers do minimum orders, so what if you only get 40 orders for a product with minimum order of 50? how are you then going to fulfil it
