In Odisha, there is Shamba Dashami (Shamba is the son of Lord Krishna & was cured from leprosy by worshipping Sun god in konarka) specifically dedicated to lord Surya. 2) There is another day Magha Saptami (which is the birthday of Lord Sun) on which there is Surya Rath yatra in Konark sun temple & bathing parampara in Chandrabhaga beach.

it was agastya Rishi not Rishi vasistha & yes Aditya hriday stotram helps to defeat enemies and improves the impact of Surya in our life

the sauras affirm that surya comunicate and talk to them and this is not hard to believe knowing how surya bhagavam is watching us every day maybe there is something more subtle on his rays that we still dont know also our soul belongs to him for me suryanarayana is the most evident god

every rishi used to offer arghya and chant gayatri mantra at e act 3 times sun rise, sun set and 12 pm. progress spiritually fastens after sun worship. there is also surya tratak which is severe form of surya upasana. and there is bhanumati used by black magician. Heera manek Ratan method of sun gazing is best. and yes any father related issues or authority related issues get resolved once you embark on sun worship. i have been doing surya upasana for 10 years now.

@mohit-jh7jn at sunrise stand without she's, Chappell on ground and just look at sun rising starts with 6 second and increase time limit by six second every day. it will take 9 months to do it for 45 mins. after you reach 45 minutes then it is optional but you must walk barefoot on ground(not grass) so excess energy goes to earth. 10 days of walk is enough. then at next stage you can go without food for few days. to arghya lift copper vessel filled with water above your head and pour water and look at sun thru pouring water. easiest way to manifest any wish.

The Sun is our Creator, the Sustainer, and the Destroyer. Without the Sun we wouldn't exist, we wouldn't survive on Earth and when the Sun dies one day everyone will perish. Almost all ancient civilizations worshiped the Sun. However, humans became philosophical and started creating gods they had never seen. Even Rama worshipped the Sun. Get that into your head. Start worshipping the Gods/Shakthis/energies we see and stop worshipping those we don't see.

the author is wrong is saying Surya was Sri Rama's Kul Devata. It was Ma Kalika

The Kula Devatas for Ikshvaku clan were Lord Surya, Mata Saranyu and Mata Chhaya. The Ishta Devatas for the Solar Dynasty were Lord Vishnu and Mata Lakshmi.
