Brandi, this is my first time here and this has NAILED IT DOWN for me! This is exactly what a prayer journal should be. Wow! Thank you so much for sharing. A side note, I had another reason for opening YT this morning and your video popped up in a suggestion. I almost didn't watch it because I had the other topic (verse mapping) on my mind. But I did and I'm sooo glad I did. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have made sense of the purpose of a prayer journal, and you are seeing results in all those answered prayers. You should make a list of them to tuck into that back pocket! God bless you sweet sis!

While I haven't copied your ideas exactly, I am using your pattern to create my own prayer journal with supplies I already had and a few new items. Hi Brandi, I love your system! I think the best part is your collection of answered prayers. When you look at them in a bundle, it really shows how wonderful our Heavenly Father is and how much He listens to His children that pray to Him and ask for guidance from Him first! At the 4:36 mark, you show a few printed pages with blocks and lists of words. Would you mind sharing a link to that in section describing what the video is about? I would love to be able to use that!

Thank you so much for sharing this! I made a prayer bible in January, with the intention of using it all year, but I found myself struggling to fit it into my daily quiet time routine. I originally thought it was bc I put too many tabs so it felt chaotic and overwhelming to try to pray for all those topics all the time. This companion journal method is going to be SO HELPFUL! I can’t wait to implement it!

Really great video. Thank you. I feel like your "Self Section" is already bedded down under your PRAY section - maybe you can just add an "Ask" to your A section (with Align) for when you have a specific personal need/goal/support. (or against a list you have for yourself)

I have the binder so I just need the pages, I can tape my pics in it. I would use ribbon on the paper clips and not have the tabs. That way you don’t have to have the tabs for the sections where the paper clip is.

I’d love to tell you! To clarify, are you asking about the tabs I used in my Bible? If so, I made them! Using scrapbook paper from Hobby Lobby and a Tab punch from Amazon, and then attached them with some double sided tape from Walmart. If you were referring to something else please let me know, I’m happy to share!

This is a great system. I noticed you pray for Trump but you don't list Biden as a leader you pray for ans he is the current president. No judgment and I'm not try to start drama I honestly just want to know why you would pray for one and not the other

@juanitaweston6131 Great question! I don’t have a perfect answer for you. I did not list him individually because in my mind I pray for him when I pray for the United States as a whole, as our current president. As I made the list I felt God wanted me to specifically pray for Trump, and since he doesn’t fit under another category- I added him as an individual Like I said, not a perfect answer, but this system is about doing what works for your own unique brain lol.. and it’s just what made sense to me. I’ve found it’s best to lay it out in a way that makes sense to You personally- that way you are more likely to use the journal to its full potential AND keep returning to it day after day 😊 Hope that helps!
